Yes, most violence and intentional infliction of it should also be barred from here.

One highly popular topic here is also illegal in most places, but that one gets funky here because it's almost always done so over the top it has to be fantasy.

Two or three other highly popular topics are more murky, illegal in many places, but legal, or at least condoned in others.

According to your views there would be almost no stories allowed here.

If you're talking about hard drugs, like heroine, cocaine, and meth, you're right. And morphine and fentanyl, if it isn't prescribed. Not many people would argue whether those fall into the category of "narcotics."

But when it comes to other recreational drugs, state laws vary widely. And there's no total agreement between state and federal laws... cannabis is still "Schedule B" in their eyes, thanks to Anslinger's paranoia, even though many states have approved it for either medicinal or recreational use. And pot use is legal in many places in Europe, and other regions have their own favorite recreational drugs. Some might classify them as narcotics, while others might not.
