Good grief... someone posted!!!! I'm in shock... awe... amazed.... Nice to meet you :)

Yeah, I do that once in awhile. Been busy lately, so a lot more lurking than normal for me. I've decided to take a break from being a responsible adult though, so I'm here tonight and tomorrow LOL

After the last week at work, I decided I couldn't take being responsible anymore ... I'm off this weekend, and so far I haven't done anything but go shopping for Christmas presents ... and I'm not planning on doing anything productive tomorrow either. *sigh* it's nice to take a break once in awhile.

Yes breaks are very welcome. I have taken to many from writing lately, but that's okay. I'm a stay at home mom.... don't get to take a break from that often... lol

Yeah, this break was much needed. I'm the charge nurse at a county jail. Most of the time, it's not too bad ... but this was one exceptionally horrid week, ending with a drill that forced us to start med pass about an hour early, and once med pass was over, we were stuck in the clinic until 3rd shift got there, at which time we were escorted out of the building past sniper teams.

Hmmm... yep... sounds like you needed a break... !!!!

Lit... just the right place to be for someone to relax... take the edge off. :)

nurse

You have my sympathies. Im a program nurse with a supported living program. My predessor wasnt big on doing her job and now Im trying to catch up 2 yrs worth of paperwork. Its taking forever and Im getting audited next month, so Ive had to work my butt off to get my files together before my supervisor gets there in December! Im taking this next weekend off for some much needed play time!

My job has gotten a bit easier - they switched where I'm working, which caused some stress, but the new site is easier. Now, instead of doing dressing changes, med pass, and the medical intakes for transfers from other facilities, basically all I do is the physical part of the medical intakes on everyone who gets arrested. A bit boring, and definitely repetitive, but far far easier.

I hope that you get your paperwork done before your supervisor gets there, Brazen ... hopefully s/he is understanding that you are trying to do 2 years worth of someone else's work in 2 months ...

there are a few of us around! i was just checking this earlier today, should have posted then

I know... that is what I thought too... I mean if it went someplace warm it should have pulled us along with it. :D

If only!

One meets all these great people that live 50 million miles away - perhaps Indiana has been torn apart by this phenomenon.
