I've heard some stories about people saying it to someone's face. There was a guy on the How To board once who asked about what he should do about this girl he liked who didn't want to sleep with him because she said his cock was too small, or some crap like that. It's sad, really, that people will be that blunt about it. It's also society putting it out there. It doesn't help when a female celebrity will mention that it matter on an afternoon talk show. (I actually saw one who did this...I forget who, but she was talking about her son and that she hoped that he had a large one because it was going to be difficult for her to tell him when he was older that size didn't matter, "because it does". There is a stigma attached to penis size and what I know about it is from my brothers. It starts about the time that a younger man hits junior high and goes straight on the rest of their lives. It is one of the reasons that I personally think that the male ego is so fragile.

Since there's always this "pressure" for a man to have a large penis, I can only imagine what it must be like for a young man to finish puberty and then realize that he has an average or below average size. Especially if their friends brag about their size or something. Then again, one thing I've noticed is that guys who brag are usually just blowing hot air. I can also imagine that men put pressure on each other, like in the locker room, if one guy's is much larger, the other guys probably feel inferior since society makes it seem like the guy with the larger penis is superior. It's all screwed up. That would be interesting to do a psychology study on male self-consciousness and the male ego in reference to penis size.Missingmeds said:

I would also like to see the numbers for the well endowed men in that study too. I have a couple of male friends that are 9 inches or better and they have problems too. So I think that it is really a two way street and it all depends on the woman.

I guess we'd have to see them naked and measure ourselves, size-wise. Feelings wise...it would probably be a difficult situation for guys who are very sensitive towards it. Normally though, at least here at UMass, when there's a psych experiment open to the public for "specimens", there's a cash stipend involved.
