Is it time to sadly admit…

Andor may be the best written Star Wars property to date.

The beginning is a little slow, as SW tends to go; not a lot of space battles and PEW PEW.

But the characters and STORY? Chefs kiss.
Whelp. Guess Disney's pulling me back in.

Ohhh I'm happy to hear people liked Andor. I haven't seen it yet but (... ok don't hate me) Rogue One is my all time favorite star wars movie.
That ending... Cassian and Jyn holding each other 🥺😭
I got beat up pretty bad in a Lit forum for making the same claim—but I’m with you about Rogue One😉! Jyn is also hottest SW female character (I mean of those with only two boobs…and gold bikini not withstanding). In real life, I’d opt for Natalie Portman over Felicity Jones, but Jyn Erso was 🔥 and Padme could have used some Literotica treatment!

And yes, Andor was very good.

Rogue One is one of my favourites too. Andor is fan-flipping-tastic. I highly recommend.

That ending of Rogue One! 😭

…that 5/8th of the way into season 3, The Mandalorian has no clue where it is going.

I really hope to eat my words and that Favreau turns it round in the next three episodes, but I’m beginning to have my doubts.

The two “Mando” episodes of TBOBF were better than season 3 so far.

I have not watched a single episode of Season 3 yet.
I'm waiting until ALL the episodes are available.
Then my oldest daughter and I, will do nothing but eat pizza and chips, drink soda, and binge watch all of them.

It's still not as bad as the BSG reboot. The Mandolorian is wandering a bit. Those damned Cylons never had a plan.

t's not a simple connected storyline because they have different writers and directors that take an episode. It falls on the producers to have those stand in people find a way to keep their stories in line with what happend before. Not just insert their ideas to the series even if they aren't connected to what's been going on

But that was the case in seasons 1 & 2 as well. And is the case in most TV shows. Favreau is still listed as the main writer.

Yup.

I turned to Bec during the foot chase scene and said "I bet five cents and a cold drink someone crashes through a shop window."

I kind of like how it's not about Grogu in any way whatsoever now. I kind of don't like how all that's left is him being infantile.

Babylon 5 is calling you back, an epic story that was completed too soon and has bizarre epilogues is still far superior to anything filmed in the past two decades

So, with my European trip, I’m two episodes of Mando 3 behind. I’m sure that they will prove all my misplaced worries unfounded.

Wish me luck, I’m going in.

I want to see a force-sensitive Ewok take charge and become the new Sith-lord/emperor: Darth Tedibair.
You're just looking for a sequel to your story, Captain Teddy.

My fucking God, did I just write that? That is disturbingly perverse! "Post reply" Done.

OMFG - the robot planet Ep was the worst SW I have ever seen - has Favreau been abducted by Netflix and replaced by an orangutan with learning difficulties. The return to Mandalore was only slightly better.

And I don’t want to watch The Book Of Bo-Katan Kryze with Din Djarin relegated to the Fennec Shand role thank you very much.

So my European vacation delayed my viewing of Mando III’s finale to last night. Probably good to have established some distance from Ep. 7 and particularly the dire Ep. 6.

SPOILERS

It was better than its two previous episodes (not hard), but also felt more like a greatest hits compilation than anything new. Grogu’s blast / fire shielding bubble was particularly self-derivative. Well I at least hope that the Mandalore Olympiad is a success.

I think what was an improvement was having more Din in what is meant to be his show. Pedro is their biggest asset. His talents should be used more.

Aside: who builds clone tanks with an auto-destruct function and how did Din Djarin know how to activate it? Gideon is so not dead, right? I want to see his head on a spike when he is defeated in season IV. Or maybe half his head blown away in an explosion (sorry wrong show).

I hope that the ending signals less Clone Wars / SW Rebels fan service and a return to the Firefly-inspired space gunslinger stories that were so much more fun originally. Also more Greef Karga and less Bo-Katan would be nice. I like Weathers as a director too.

I know it’s unfair on well-known actors, but how did Mr Kim get a gig in the New Republic? Takes me out every time (and I like him as an actor). Can’t get used to his real accent either.
