Is it time to sadly admit…

I had an idea for a much improved ending.

Bo-Katan discovers that Mandalore can only be returned to its former glory by the use of Grogu’s blood; all of it. He is strapped down and ready to be operated on when Din bursts in, kills the surgeon in cold blood and then fights his way out killing most of the other Mandalorians in the process. He finally executes an injured Bo-Katan in a spaceship park.

So much better, right?

I saw where someone said the penultimate episode was Favreau doing the equivalent of a POW blinking in Morse code.
Paz Vizsla, the character that he voiced, gets killed by three faceless representatives of the sequel trilogy. This person's interpretation of the scene was that Favreau was saying, "Sorry. I tried to fix this godawful mess and erase the sequel trilogy, but the evil empire won."
Sounds like very creative and somewhat wishful thinking. Favreau is demonstrably more than capable of creating his own godawful mess.

Am I the only one who doesn't acknowledge any Star Wars content after Episode III (and two great games KOTOR 1 and 2) ? I mean, I LITERALLY act as if episodes 7-9 do not exist. My mind has completely rejected them for being a piece of trash of cosmic proportions 😄

I enjoyed the sequel trilogy, but that's probably because my brain shifted to it being in an alternate universe with Last Jedi. They really wasted Finn. And Luke... Ugh... As a sequel trilogy, it fails. Divorced from that, it has enough enjoyable moments to make it worth the while. My brain made that shift the moment Luke tossed that lightsaber over his shoulder, right at the beginning of LJ.

I can absolutely understand how many people can't get past the way Luke is treated, though. I basically didn't see anything that happened in Iron Man 3 in the theater after they reveal Trevor Slattery. My brain absolutely shut down. Watching it later on streaming, the whole end of the movie was entirely new to me. That's how badly that reveal took me out of the story and offended me. I was only able to watch ( and come to appreciate ) Iron Man 3 after "All Hail the King" came out and retconned that whole plot point.

Wait, 1-3? Or 4-6?

I like the visuals of the new trilogy a lot. I like a lot of things about it. I dislike the way it seemed like people were fighting over the plot over the course of the three movies. It was like Abrams was like, ok this! And then Rian was like no, this! And then Abrams was like, no no no, THIS. I think they needed to take BB's advice and finish the story before they released it.

Wait, 1-3? Or 4-6?
Episodes 1-6 + extended universe that was superbly done in Bioware's games is what I consider Star Wars. Sure, Episode 1 was quite problematic. Episode 6 as well to an extent, but they are still Star Wars and they do have redeemable content and characters. The absolutely moronic characters and plot in so called Episodes 7-9 do not exist for me ;)

Oh I get it, after 3 by release date, not episode number.

I do like that millennium falcon loop d' loop in 7 through.

I've given up on Disney Star Wars - haven't bothered with any of the TV shows however 'quite good' they are. It's almost inevitable that I'm going to hate everything about them. Now if I could just stop arguing about it on the Internet...

There is very little to be found wrong with Andor, IMO.

Absolutely. This is an excellent example where BB's advice would be well applied. The trilogy was a narrative/plot disaster because episode 8 dumped all over episode 7 and then episode 9 dumped all over episode 8. Force Awakens, though derivative of A New Hope, had some promise, but the promise was squandered.

TFA is the best of them. Also has the Rey / Finn banter which reminded me of my time in London. They basically dropped that element later.

I first saw John Boyega in Attack the Block, which is a fun, weird alien invasion movie, and I was delighted to see him cast in the new Star Wars movie because he has screen charisma, but they didn't know what to do with his character Finn. So many missed opportunities in the final trilogy.

I've heard similar thoughts about Andor from other people. The problem is that after witnessing so many horrible movies and TV shows in Star Wars universe, I find myself completely indifferent about it. I suppose Andor simply came at a bad time, after my desire to watch anything related was thoroughly destroyed by Episodes 7-9, an absolutely horrible Obi Wan TV Show, and a mediocre Mandalorian. Fucking George Lucas.
