There are woods all the way around us here.

I don't have an ice chest plus I don't have anywhere to store seasonal items. Which is why I get rid of so much stuff.

Ice storm here last Wednesday, A 40-foot tall maple decided I didn't need electricity, internet, phone, or tv. Just got it all back today.

Right now, I'm prisoner in my home because all of the trees are blooming and I'm very allergic to tree pollen. I can't wait until they stop blooming so I can enjoy my back yard.

Had a nice little shower last night so everything is glistening with dew as I sit on the patio watching the sun coming up. As I sip my Earl Gray, I can't help but wonder how many more mornings like this I'll have. I'd really hate to have to give all of this up, but, alas, no one is immortal.

The cardinal is searching for peanuts. I love how he cocks his head as he stalks the peanut, sneaking up on it and preparing to pounce.

The baby rabbits are chasing each other around. Oh, to have that energy of youth once again.

Unfortunately the telomeres on our mitochondria are shorter that the ones on our chromosomes so we run out of energy when we grow old. Like an old battery, I wake up at 100% but within hours I'm at 20% and dragging ...
