I have not, but I'm going with if there are any, they are all true. Myths about me are likely more exciting than reality.

I can't even say I've heard myths about others. I do ask for others crazy, funny, extreme Lit stories, but I always specify no names, as it is the story I want hear, I don't need to ascribe it to a specific individual.

Lol same. I’ve heard one about myself pretty recently. That was not true in the slightest. Could not have been further from who I am.

What’s really funny to me is that one person who I believe to be the source of two pretty significant myths about me (also very far from who I am as a person) keeps liking my comments and has replied to me several times. Dude. Stop.

For anyone checking, I’ve NEVER shared anyone’s photos with Lance (GB Lance, lol). I almost said I’ve never ever shared photos, but that’s not true. I’ve been very fortunate to meet several Litsters and I have shown selfies to mutual friends. I’ve never shared anyone’s photo with any ill-intent and I’ve always asked people if it was okay to share.

I’ve also never been in a relationship of any sort with a person who’s username starts with a V (I’ve been in three Lit relationships; 2 were very public and obvious and the other was not a prolific poster) and I certainly haven’t spilled anyone’s secrets to him. Lots of people here have shared secrets and personal stories/info with me over the years. If I were blabbing people’s info, it would be really evident. I don’t do that.

I did send that email that got me vilified on the GB. It was not from my work email, which was hilarious to see the allegation and the threats of doxxing. And there’s a lot more to that story that people don’t know. I’d send that email again without reservation. I wish I’d sent it sooner.

Do you feel like you are more subject to mythologizing because you've been an active poster in multiple areas for a while, or because you're mod, or both? I'd be curious if your pre-mod experience is noticeably different from your mod experience.
