Ok so I ran an experiment. I have everything set to “nobody” except for allowing conversations. I haven’t posted any pics and pulled all my old pics down. I have only posted unsexy things here, in this feedback thread, since the update. But I’m still getting random PMs from guys I’ve never spoken to before. One of whom is already creeping me out (thanks, bud!)

Why is that happening? How are they finding me? There must be an active user list I can’t opt out of.

Clicking your name in the post gives me the option to "start conversation". Likely a way to restrict that to a buddy list.

I just went through 9 pages of online members/active users, and you aren't there.

It looks like you were able to restrict your conversations. Just wanted to add that if you want to delete any of the annoying ones from your list, you can “leave the conversation”. That will make it disappear

While some may choose not to do so you can opt, or at least you used to, to only receive messages from people on your buddy list. That's of course now the Follow list. If I'm wrong I'm sure someone will correct me or explain in more detail.

You’re right, you can restrict conversations to only members, only followers, or no one

If you have set "Start conversations with you" as "Members only", then any member can send you a pm regardless of your profile settings. You have 3 options with conversations:
1. Members only
2. People you follow
3. Nobody

Or, no. 4, you put the creepy one on Ignore.

I just ran though everything and I couldn't see you either. Good to know this works!

And while you leave check the "Ignore future messages" You will not be notified of any future responses and the conversation will remain deleted.

@nikki2688 and if you’re worried about a seriously creepy guy, he won’t know you’ve left. I tested that out yesterday with a friend.

I think there is a setting in the profile about who can send conversations.

I have tried to "edit" my AV and it's not saving the simple change I made.

Same thing happened to me, except one person said they could see the changes, but no one else could!

Yes to #4. The ignore option here on Lit is one to always utilize when you feel the need to do so. It does so much good for peace of mind.

Since a couple months ago, I haven't been able to log into my author's account on the mobile version, and now I can't even log into the forum on the mobile version. I just get an "Internal Server Error", or a popup telling me my login information is incorrect.

It works fine on my desktop and laptop, I just can't log in at all on my phone.

It's still not working, Lara. I tried changing mine... the old one is still showing here, but if you click on it on my profile page, the one I'm trying to change it to shows up. I wish they would fix it. It's really annoying.

Same here. I’m on my phone only. Mine was off center when Lit came back and even when deleted kept coming back when I tried to load another. Like you, the new one showed up on my profile but has since reverted back to old one. So now I’m an S … ha. Lets hope it gets fixed soon.

I'm waiting for mine to revert back to the old one, too. I gave up trying to come on here with my phone. It's horrible. I've been coming on here with my laptop which is okay, but I need to come on here with my tablet because that's what I use the most. I hope it looks and works okay with that.

Yes, it's called, "Unwatch" There's a unwatch button on the top of the thread page. If you want to subscribe, you hit the watch button. If you want to unsubscribe, you hit the unwatch button.

I think this is going to be a hard one for people to understand. If the box is unchecked in your profile to appear visible. You aren't visible. You will still have the green light visible to you though. So you appear visible to yourself. LIke now. Diosax. You do not appear visible to me.

yeah, under the old settings it stated how you appeared "this user is offline/online" below your av when you posted, but that green icon thing had me at it for a while.

anyone can click on your avatar which is, let's face it, not 'un-sexy', or your username and the option to 'start a conversation' comes up along with 'follow' and something else. it's not hard to find you.

Yes! I knew that was there but I was just trying to pin down how the randos were finding me. And the ignore and leave feature is so nice. Thanks jaF0; sorry if I was snappy here yesterday.

randos can be anywhere on the site your av appears, so...

I just uploaded mine again and it's showing up on my profile, but not anywhere else. But I'm expecting it to change back to the old one anytime now, because that's what seems to happen every time.

sounds like a cache issue. i might try going av-less for a couple of days,, logging off each time, then come back in and try again
