When you were attaching the pic, did you click “Insert” or use the picture icon in the post tool bar?

Both of those will lead to embedding a picture thumbnail that can be seen when logged off. Just click Attach Files, choose the photo & then Post Reply. Then it shouldn’t be seen at all when not logged in.

I posted it was full size in the post.

It’s not ideal if you want to write captions, true. There doesn’t seem to be a “preview post” any more, which might have helped?

I will have to try this again. It was a bigger thumbnail when I posted it, but it wasn't full size.

What's kind of interesting to me is that of the 1,500 or more members that have been signed on in the day and a half (over 400 on now), only 50 or so have posted here, either for or against.

Traditional jaF0 dumbness - first complaining when people reply instead of reading through the previous 20 pages if something was already mentioned and then complaining that not enough people report the same things.

Yes. A bigger thumbnail, but not embedded in the body of the post and not full size.

You can preview a post by clicking on the icon of the paper and magnifying glass in the upper right corner of the reply box.

Then what Manu should do if possible is to make each Litster have control over their own posts and whether or not they want it shared or not. We can control who sees our profiles, so why not give us control over our posts in regards to sharing. If there are those Litsters that don't mind their posts being shared on twitter or reddit, then they can set their profile to allow sharing. For those of us who don't want anything we post on here shared anywhere else, than there should be a way to turn sharing off in our profile. That would be the smart thing to do. Like I said before, anyone can copy and paste or save shit on their computer. We can't do anything about that.. but having share buttons on pics and/or posts just makes it easier for them to do it. Why make it easy for those who like to do that shit?

It is always possible to make screenshots of something that is on your screen. It has nothing to do with Manu or Lit.
Anything you do that is viewable on someone elses screen is out of your control.
Anyone can see what is on Lit without logging in. That could be changed but anyone can make an account in minutes if they are curious.

yeah, there are profile pics. i have a japanese scene in mine and the 2 flags appear as my av for the forums

The quotes are inserted in reverse order, I tried it now. Small issue, but I like replying to the posts in order.

when the multiquotes come up you have the ability to drag them around to change order before posting
"drag the icon to rearrange messages" and a delete button for any message being quoted.. this is when you use the multiquote function+"insert quotes" button

I thought it was fixed. When I just logged on, the circle was black. I uploaded the new photo and it showed up in the tiny icon at top of page but my AV remained dark. Now the old one is back. Bummer. Fingers crossed, next time! I’m only on mobile.

Thank you. I’ll try it the next time I use multiple quotes. My phone screen loves moving around. Good tip about the + sign. I tried it with reply the other day and it quoted twice, so I stayed away from any double clicking.

At one time I think that there was a thread specifically intended to use for testing image postings. I've no idea where it was and had no luck with a search on that. But is everyone here just following the directions in this thread or the tried and true... just seeing if it works or not?

Wish List so far:

Address cropping of Avatars.
Disable display of posted images.
Adjust Sort Order to Newest First for those that want it.
Display Profile Pictures from Story Side

List/display previously uploaded Attachments for access, deletion and reuse.

Bumping up since the dust seems to be settling.

AVs are still fucked up. I've uploaded 3 of them in the course of the last few days and 2 of them keep showing up at different times on my profile page. As a matter of fact, I was using both my tablet and my laptop a little while ago and on my tablet, one of them was displayed on my profile page and on my laptop, the other AV was displayed on my profile page. I even tried deleting the AVs, but apparently deleting doesn't actually delete the pic off of Lit.

I don't want to sound like a Debbie Downer but... I've been on Lit long enough to know that the site owners have never fixed any of the problems that the old forum had for as long as I've been here.. so I'll be surprised if the AV issue or any of the other issues will be fixed anytime soon.. if ever. I mean, it's been like 3 days already and I haven't seen any improvements or fixes being done on this forum.... and to be honest, I don't really care anymore. I'm done bitchin' about this.

That's some kind of system glitch.

There's still a timing glitch too that throws errors .... something went wrong, try again later ....
