AVs are still fucked up. I've uploaded 3 of them in the course of the last few days and 2 of them keep showing up at different times on my profile page. As a matter of fact, I was using both my tablet and my laptop a little while ago and on my tablet, one of them was displayed on my profile page and on my laptop, the other AV was displayed on my profile page. I even tried deleting the AVs, but apparently deleting doesn't actually delete the pic off of Lit.

I don't want to sound like a Debbie Downer but... I've been on Lit long enough to know that the site owners have never fixed any of the problems that the old forum had for as long as I've been here.. so I'll be surprised if the AV issue or any of the other issues will be fixed anytime soon.. if ever. I mean, it's been like 3 days already and I haven't seen any improvements or fixes being done on this forum.... and to be honest, I don't really care anymore. I'm done bitchin' about this.

Is it fair to say that no work has been done if you cannot see the results, perhaps there are a lot of things going on in the background. There are a lot of moving parts with changing platforms like this. Give it some time.

It is always possible to make screenshots of something that is on your screen. It has nothing to do with Manu or Lit.
Anything you do that is viewable on someone elses screen is out of your control.
Anyone can see what is on Lit without logging in. That could be changed but anyone can make an account in minutes if they are curious.

Again, that's the Facebook defence. "We are just the platform." The act of someone copy or pasting as a member is their liability. I'm sure the owners have beefed up their terms to say no copy or reusing, as that's standard now to disclaim liability. If they haven't, quickly do so, it's in your best interest to deflect liability to the perpetrator, as inoculous as it sounds.
As the courts have proved over, if you aid or are implicit in it, no matter how easy it may be, then you are going to be found somewhat liable. You always go after the company not the individual, more lucrative. The question will always be did you do all that you could within your capabilities. Could it be changed, yes it could, why didn't you? In that case it has everything to do with Manu and Lit.
My recollections of the old system was that if you uploaded your photo to the Lit server then even an inline post of it would be represented by a blank place holder saying image not available. Log in and those files would load. Imgur and third party hosted images would load regardless. All you need is the same settings to be applied and all is good, and apply the settings to all images and storage folders on the system. No log in, no see.
Old images uploaded into threads with the the log in settings of old that have now become public images, without the ability to remove them, are problematic. Without the ability to remove the source file, you can't edit someone else's post. Until such time as users are able to control their content perhaps all images from the previous server should be suspended from any viewing.
I'm no wowser and know exactly what I am doing in here with my content. You might be able to copy and paste/save with your device. Just make it so that you have logged in and are breaking terms to do so.

I'm loving the new format! My only request would be for page numbers to be on the bottom right instead of bottom left. Just a usability thing—I've missed the next page a few times now. Not a biggie though and something I could definitely get used to!

Apologies is this has already been answered, I'm late to the change party.

I can't find how to have any profile info in my About section. I've had my main site profile info linked in my sig since I rejoined. I was told to click the Control Panel, but that just takes me to the main site profile that's already set up. Nothing has been transferred over to a forum profile section.

Also, in one of the section it lists what other users can see: one says something like "seeing your identities" - what is this?

jaFO, please accept my sincere apology concerning my previous claim that not all of the entries in the Main Literotica Profile are displayed over to here on the Forums profile.

You were correct that the Main Literotica Profile is now displayed here on the Forums profile.

My error was due to the new update version taking a few extra days to catch-up with my account so as to display my Main Literotica Profile here in the Forums. (There was one benefit to my error as I have temporarily deleted the words in the Biography section of my Main Literotica Profile and will re-write them when I have the time.)

I apologize again and thank you for understanding my inadvertent mistake,

Desktop user here and newbie to Lit forums.
For what it's worth, I like the new forum software since the old caused me to loose my browser session every few minutes or so. It seems to be more stable now.
I like having a greater range of emoji - I don't have an emoji addon or whatever on desktop, and the, like, 6 of them from before was super limiting.
Maybe it was due to my odd browser, but I couldn't even find where to change my profile image before from the user control panel, but now it's obvious: you just click your profile image from the main toolbar.

Overall, as a new user, I've only seen positives compared to the old forums.

My only gripe, which I've seen previously, is that it would have been good to see something like a DM sent out to all users (or maybe users who had logged in within the past few weeks) with an announcement of the coming change and links to more info like why you're making the change and what's changing. I appreciate that this is a service I get to use for free, for which I am very grateful, so this isn't a complaint, but doing something like that might have cut down on some of the reflexive grousing and dramatics.

It does me too. Anything you post anywhere on any URL on the web is accessible by anyone. Someone from the Ukraine actually tried to login to my yahoo email account yesterday. How did they even know what the name of it was. Oh that's right, it the one I used on my Smashwords account. Go figure.

yeah, there are profile pics. i have a japanese scene in mine and the 2 flags appear as my av for the forums

when the multiquotes come up you have the ability to drag them around to change order before posting
"drag the icon to rearrange messages" and a delete button for any message being quoted.. this is when you use the multiquote function+"insert quotes" button

Thanks Zeb for noting this. I am trying to change my AV from this original but it keeps defaulting back. I don’t see the full face one, though, only the off centered. And the one I do want is askew on my profile page.

Yes, that AV has always been displayed within my posts, regardless of what AV was being displayed on my profile page. Even though I have tried to change THAT AV many times, it always reverted back to that one.

I just uploaded a new AV. It's the one I've been trying to change to for days. After refreshing my profile page like 10 times, it finally showed up. See?


Notice the new AV DOES NOT MATCH my AV that is showing up on the bottom of the page. It's not showing up anywhere else on the forum except for on my profile page. It's still showing the original AV. That is FUCKED UP!

So I waited a few minutes and then refreshed my profile page and now it's back to showing the original AV. See????



So yeah, the AV part of this forum is FUCKED UP! I can't be anymore clearer than this, so take it for what it's worth. I'm done.

I encountered the exact same thing. My AV on the forum isn't updating to the new one I changed to, but the story side did change.

At one time I was a member of another site that many others here still use. You had to be a member to log in and see anything at all. Plus you couldn't save or copy posted images. I thought that was pretty cool but even though the pictures and available options, meeting people in your area and such was nice it lacked the forum aspect of Lit. IDK if Lit is so open to nonmembers because of the stories side or the pay-to-view videos but some change in the open-access would be appreciated.

Out of curiosity I tried to change my AV last night and had the same results as JJ has been experiencing. I plan to try reducing its size further per recommendations and try again later.

That won't work. The AVs I was uploading are the same size that was used on the old forum.. whatever size that was. I think 150 x 150, but I could be wrong about that.

I think a better question would be has anyone had success changing their avatar, if they haven't then it has to be a known issue, and would it be best to just wait for an anouncement that it's fixed rather than trying every day and reporting daily that it still does not work? Just my thoughts.

I was able to change it a day (or so) ago to the one I have now on the forum. I can't get it to change now though. It only changes on the story side.
