Just to be clear, I do like the new forum. I like how we can now "Follow" our friends and are notified when they post. That is so much better than the old buddy list. I like how we can "Watch" threads and boards. For me, that is a great feature because I'm really only interested in what is going on in the PG and I can "watch" my favorite threads... and more important... I will never have to see that fucking Politics board again.

I also like the new message editor. So much better than the old one.

I only have 2 issues with this new forum... one being the AV issue and the other being the privacy issue. I may have to rethink about me staying here if these issues aren't fixed soon. I come on here to have fun with my friends and play in the threads... not get annoyed and frustrated at seeing these problems still being here.

Anyway, I thought I would post something positive for a change. I do hope that the site owners care enough to fix what is broken so that it doesn't end up like the old forum.

Just so you know, when I click the AV on your profile page, it shows me another AV that says, "Sometimes you just have to pick yourself up and carry on." Go figure.

Ok, I LOVE that I can resize photos after inserting them on my computer. Haven’t seen how or if it’s possible on my phone yet. But I want everyone who posts memes and things to know this!!!

I already used the feature where you can resize a pic in the message box. It's one of my favorite things with the new forum.

lol, that'll teach me... i was trying to see last night if it was a case of it not accepting images i'd not used as avs before ... that was one of them, but it didn't show up as being accepted, still showing the flags! i think i'll stop messing with things as it's confusing the system, give it some time (maybe a week) and try again. thanks for letting me know!

Don't feel bad.. I uploaded a 3rd AV also a few days ago for the same reason.. and even though it never shows up on my profile page or forum, it shows up sometimes when I click the AV on my profile page.

Maybe if the AV would actually delete itself off the server when you delete your AV, we wouldn't have this problem. Just saying...

Having used XF for a couple of years now on other boards, I knew most of you would be OK with it once things settled in. Just needed to calm some of you down. I can't do anything about those still locked out though.

Thanks for mentioning this about resizing images; I had not realized it, it's a big help.

Will this solve the AV problem?

The AV thing is just strange, I tried to change mine yesterday but it stayed in my profile until today when I tried a different AV. That didn't work and yesterday's attempt stayed in my profile. Now, hours later, the second attempt shows as my AV, but the AV I started with still shows as well.

Using the Lit Modern style, the color variation between the background, the sticky thread foreground and the normal thread foreground in the forums I visit are so subtle that I had to change the color settings on my monitor to see them. The forums are more readable when you can see the color variations.
