A year already! Wow! Just half that time, although it does feel like we've known each other a lifetime.

There's a lot of us out there, and each story just brings more positive thoughts into the reasons and rewards we get by working hard at our relationships.

I live in the north west of England and my girlfriend lives in nortstate California. We've been together for almost a year now and I really do think she is "the one".
Long distance relationships are fundamentally like any other. They involve trust and commitment with maybe a little more discipline. The only thing that is hard to bear is the lack of regular intimacy which tends to make local relationships gel harder.
I try and see her every three months or so (next trip April) and I can see myself moving over there in the not too distant future.
One thing is certain - if you both want it to work, it will.
I really hope it all works out.
