Long Distance Relationships

Well we now have a tentative date! Aug 7th he will leave Ottawa and he will leave here Aug 22 Now the only thing that will really stand in the way of this and that would only be the length of time he could come down, would be him getting this job that is a great opportunity for him. And I have already told him if he gets the offer he is to take it.

I will happily settle for a long weekend instead of two weeks. I love him and it's important for me that he be happy with what he does. Considering if everything goes well, I'll eventually be moving there.

Even a tentative date is great news! It's amazing how understanding we become when our time sometimes needs to be compromised! I'm excited for you both, and I agree that even a long weekend will make such a big difference! Hang in there!

Oh i quite value, respect and LOVE my techie. In fact, he helped me over the hurdle when I tried to build this puter and forgot to do one thing and couldn't get online. He called me three times and got me up and running.

I just wanted to let everyone know I am alive and well. LTR has not killed me yet. We moved in almost 2 weeks ago. This is a good indication she is not a serial killer or a crazy. (only kidding, I knew this long before this).
It has been very good. I have less worry about her now that she is up here. We have had a lot of unpacking and daily chores to do. It has been a lot of work the last two weeks. Packing, Unpacking, organizing, etc.
The kids are fantastic. More often then not I laugh at their antics. Sometimes I suppose I should not, becuase LTR gets angry because they are not supposed to do some of the things they do. No, harm is being done so it does not bother me. I do back her up when needed and have reprimanded when needed but they are good kids.
I have started teaching again and between that and this move my time has been very tight. Hope to chat a little more in the future.

Great news, Tiger!! Missed hearing from you both and hope that you will still "visit" this thread even though you are officially not an LDR anymore!!

What a change of life for all of you!! Glad you're teaching again too; a real "homebody" now, but LTR will be there with you. That is so fabulous!!

Oman and I are both so very happy for the two of you! We "saw" this develop too, and it gives us a boost which we both need right now! Extra unexpected expenses have hit us, and we BOTH face a big change in our lives, but I know that it would be much worse if we weren't "there" for each other.
