Long Distance Relationships

OK Marty left this morning and I am feeling a little blue. I know this is natural it just sucks.:(

Hugs Hat:rose:

How was this visit compared to the first? Does it feel like you're more "settled in" now when you're with him?

I'm still blue since Oman returned home in February! I can't imagine what you're feeling. I'm so restless and hope that things settle soon for us so that we can really get down to making plans.

Hang in there, Hat!:rose:

It seems that it is common for there to be a big let down right after a visit. I hope your blue mood is a short one!

Hat... I know how you feel... Just think of the time you had... hold onro those thoughts, and think about the next time you are together. How it will be that much more wonderful than this visit!!!

Forget the time span... time passes, think about the positives. Think about the love you share, the feeling of touch...

My feelings for you both will help, as will everyone here.

It is all right to cry, TC, we are all standing around you giving you a great big hug. When I was hurting, they surrounded me too. It was really nice. I am sure the others who have had their ups and downs will say the same thing.

My sweety's name is Bluespoke. Ebonyfire & Bluespoke; now that does have a nice ring to it!

Take a break, but feel free to contact us whenever you feel the need. Glad the aussie thread is up and running too! That's a great bunch of people there! You'll feel better in time; I'm not a "fan" of time right now myself!

Hello all...

Hello everyone. Things have become increasingly busy lately...and I have not been able to sign on as often as I wish. I apologize...and I must say I have been missing this "therapy group" of ours.

I see we have had some losses amongst our LDR couples...I am so very sorry. My heart goes out to you...and I hope that you can find the strength and love again...and that you can find the right person to share it with.

I came very close to breaking off my own LDR this very week. We even talked about ending it all...ending this rollercoaster ride my love and I have been on for over a year now! And then...something wonderful happened. We brought ourselves back together. We were both shaking with nervousness....exhausted from the sheer effort of talking through our concerns and questions. My love and I agreed to compromise...to stay together...to keep talking and working on the challenges that lay before us.

This is my 101st post...another milestone. As I reach it...I want to send out a prayer for all of you. Remember to follow your hearts...trust in love...and let it lead you on one of life's greatest adventures.

Take care...and, if you have a free moment...help me find an AV...I could use the assistance. :)

Yah...im glad things are good again! Take a look at this one...I dont REALLY know you well enough to go on your personality but its a start and if you want to PM me details about you than i can go looking for more. Avs excite me...picking them is like shopping...and I LOVE shopping..giggling

Smiley congradulations and good for you and your love. Talking is the only way to fix things. It's not easy doing this we get to see each other so little. It gets hard sometimes always wanting them there with you but understanding why they can't be. Understanding doesn't mean it hurts any less or makes it less frustrating. Hang in there and good to see you back.

Thank you for your kind words....you beautiful ladies! How about this av? Too mean-looking?

Oh Smiley I don't know about that one hun. It just doesn't seem like you sweety.

Changed it for now...let me know if you see some you think work better. Thanks for the advice too. :)

Welcome back, Smiley, and congrats on your 100th!!:rose:

Glad to hear that you were able to talk things out with your LDR!! As has been mentioned throughout this thread, communication is most important, even moreso with distance between you! As difficult as it can be, talking through helps bring you closer together.

Thanks for your prayers! "Trust in love" is a good motto to follow!:rose:

With Artful's permission,

i wanted to stop by and introduce myself and my Master Artful. This is my first LDR as well as my first Master, and my first cyber love. So, i'm experiencing a lot of firsts and with my Master's patient guidance enjoying a much more connected relationship that anything i've ever had in real life.
It's so nice to see a place were i can learn what to be careful of, what to expect, how to enjoy this even more, and especially how to make my Master happy. Thank You for the opportunity....i've read quite a bit of the thread and look forward to getting to know each of you. It's so encouraging to read the successes in LDR and i appreciate the posts about the relationships that didn't work as well.

Thanks again!:rose:

Was in an on-line relationship for about two years that ended, at least in my eyes, very badly. She just drifted away more and more and in the end all my attempts to pull her back went for naught. She just got addicted to something else that took up all her time on the net. Months later I find she has someone new and is living as if she never met me.

Hurts so much I want to strike out at her, and I hate her so much for the way she lied and treated me in the end. Yet I still love her so much I can't do anything but toss about in restless nightmares. And my nature dosn't let me do anything in anger.

Long distance relationships can be magic if they work yet hell of they don't. Laying lonely in bed now I hunger so much for someone to be with me, just the touch and intimacy of someone there yet I am still scalded from before, even though it was months ago.

Reading this on one of your earlier pages is what caught my attention,...thanx Maxx!
long distance

I know that long distance relationships are very hard. But you know it can be the
best and most rewarding time of your life. My wife and I have been married for
over three yers now and have two wonderful kids. I am very happy now. I first
met her out of state and we fell in love sat first meeting. We had a relationship
half way across the country for almost two years seeing each other an average
of every three months for maybe 5 days at a time. It was very hard and very
painful at times. But i wouldn't trade that experience for anything in this world.
Time and distance are two key factors to test true love. You know, the more we
were away the more my love grew. It also gives you a chance to show how much
you really care. Maybe in some ways you normally never would do. Write letters
as much as possible, send care packages for no reason, send gifts of surprize,
call at work, be creative, and remember to use plenty of humor in your packages
and letters. Distance is hard, hearing from your loved one is hard, but somehow a
laugh that came 100s of miles away makes things a lot better. Good luck to
everyone, it will be worth it.
