That's why Alpacas were used by Columbian drug lords to interrogate pigeons. Of course, a quadriped catching pigeons is a funny sight!

WOW! Great feedback!

I now realize I should have avoided this category like the plague! Too many different sub-categories, not a chance in the world to please everybody.

My initial thought was, well, the wife is cheating on the husband so let's put it in "Loving Wifes". But the story is really about Peter, and his coming to terms to watching his wife become sexually involved with another woman, then using that as his own reason to involve himself with someone else, and then finally get so embroiled in the sexual antics of the situation he watches - and fucks. Participating, but disconnected. It's a *theme*. Same as these are his wife's friends since childhood - he's a new addition. Participating, but he doesn't really know about all the past history.

And I never meant the ending to be a "wimp out". Just an acceptance of Peter for what he did, as well as his wife. No harm, no foul. Bygones.

Next time... I'll know better.

Thanks to everyone for the great comments. Very much appreciated! And big kisses to CharleyH for starting this dialogue!

Jack!

Sorry, just jumping into this thread cause of the interesting name at the end.

Mr Pryce - any relation to the actor? Maybe you are the actor?

Welcome to the board, Mr O'Rourke.

Do they catch them in their ferocious honey-eating beaks? :)

My one and only submission to the category made me never want to again. Go to mind control and people are pretty cool, I'm to blame for the backlash I got at NC, crossdressing took my unconventional story in hand, fantasy and non-human are pretty lax and sane, but loving wives seems polluted with the most insane readers including the one whom I will only refer to as "The Fanatic".

The Fanatic only like stories that end with the woman pregnant or desiring to get pregnant and has to my knowledge bombed every single story in the category that does not kowtow to this fetish.

Add that to the "kill all cheating bitchzez" and other out-there fetishes and it simply becomes laughable. It's chaos on a level you'd expect from fetish, not loving wives.

No, that was an email I got even though the story centered entriely on why the husband had earned what happened to his wife because of his desire to control her as a puppet. I got a few other scary ones. I'd have to dig again.

I think he is the same guy who trolls the lesbian category and is shocked that there is lesbian sex in there. He usually comes up with something like "lesben wemens are sluts and hores."

Oh, that's just Juan, the Manz. :D

Well, aside from being entertained by the trio des Two animals and Lisa Denton, it appears I have learned that no one really knows for certain WTF the loving wives category is all about. Oh, some think they know . . . but really. In essence, I suppose such a story should be written with as much sarcasm as the category title itself, huh?

:D

Furthering my confusion on the category and my one and only contribution in it:

most views of any story, but not the oldest one posted

fewest votes/PC's

lowest rated, but last night, someone voted a 5 (a coincidental to this thread?)

Could very well be, Lime. The voting fairy paid me a visit last night as well, but nary a peep.

I think that what is missing is not a definition of catagory, or additional catagories, but tolerence for other people's interpretations. Even within this thread there have been rants in both directions. What gives any one person the right to decide all of what should be in a catagory? If you don't like the story, then don't read it. Try a different one.

I think people have a difficulty with this though. They read a story, and if it doesn't fit what they wanted, they leave negative comments. I have found some perfectly well written stories that just don't interest me. That doesn't make them bad stories. I certainly would not leave negative comments just because the story didn't do it for me.

For me, Loving Wives is a catagory where I think of faithful loving wives. I write stories (though I have only finished one to submit so far) for me and my wife to read. Infidelity doesn't turn either of us on. So, I write with that in mind.

I think storeies are a great way to explore what turns us on, and where our boundaries are, and even gives us a chance to expand our sexual boundaries. I don't need to think of my wife getting gang raped by a football team in order to get turned on though.

I would hope that there would be tolerence for diverse stories though. I do realize that some middle-aged people reading these stories while hunched protectively over the computer screen in their mother's basement are going to have certain ideas, and that is okay, but hopefully it is also okay for some of us to want stories of actual loving wives who do not stray.

The keyword in this disussion is wives. What we have here, I suspect, is that these stories hit too close to home. The Loving Wives Nazis either have been cheated on or are extremely paranoid about being cheated on.

Net result: they hate stories where the husband is a cuckold and doesn't get revenge for the indignity. It's something they already experienced or are terrified that they might experience.

I always thought the cuckhold stories played into men's fears of inadequacy and not being 'enough' for their wives, hence the wife needs to be a big slut in the story. That makes them feel better because, clearly, it's the big slut's fault for not being satisfied by him because she's a raging whore and can't ever get satisfied...see, not his fault.

I liked the one who sent my gay male posting the feedback "DEATH TO ALL POOFS." Umm ... isn't trolling the "gay male" section of the website a little ... I don't know ... GAY? Plus "poofs" is just such a cute word. How can I take a death threat seriously with the word "poofs" in it?

(I did not vote on your story because it was NOT TRUE, there is a way I know, I have lots of medical knowledge of female anatomy. If a girl had a finger stuck in her ass she could have a unexpected bowel movement which could cause severe injury. If you are going to lie and make up stories you should make them medically correct.)

I miss Durtgurl... ;)

Anyway, I got the impression that "Loving Wives" is mostly just a way of keeping the "Erotic Couplings" section from gaining eight thousand more new stories every week. I don't really see any other reason to have it.
And based on that ideal, should the stories that aren't erotic couplings between marrid couples (or married women and their mates) be included? Well, once you've set the category, and you look at the description, and it doesn't say one-on-one sex anywhere, don't you pretty much have to allow the story to pass through, assuming it can pass through for any category here (meaning it doesn't violate the overall Lit. rules like underage, and beastiality, etc.)

Mostly thinking outloud,

Maybe we should just make the category name more correct by shortening it to "Loving Wives With Two Animals And Lisa Denton And Some Unholy Whores" kinda short and to the point huh? Ooops, I forgot the footbal team damnit.

Goodness, don't forget the football team ;) And the nostril sex. Just to make it really clear.

Nostril sex? You'd think that would make a category unto itself.

Unless, of course, the wimpy husband is there to lick the cum out of his wife's nostril.

Wow. I just *completely* grossed myself out... :)
