You are so right. I was prepared for what ever that cath showed, and I managed to keep it together around Mom and Dad, but the minute I was back in my car, ready to come home, I had myself a good cry. Daddy has been through so much, and has been a trooper through it all. As I tell him, he's a tough ol fart. My greatest hope is that this surgery will make a new man of him and that he will be around for many more years.

It's always great when a doctor gives you a diagnosis that includes a problem they can fix. Life is good then.

Compare that to some mechanics, who give diagnoses that don't need fixing. (Some mechanics even leave air hoses attached to your Chevy when you drive off ... imagine that!)

I'll keep praying for you and your family. I hope you are getting enough rest. Good luck with the surgery.

Also with the swelling finally down enough to tell.... yes the fall tore my right achilles tendon. Doc says I have maybe 1/4 left of it.
The good news is the new achilles on the left is fine & most the bruises are gone, plus shoulder is about 80% now.
NO MORE FALLING! Still no health coverage until Medicare kicks in a few more months.

So, how are things going? Other than a rumor that you were "mean as a snake" as a child, I have had no hd-updates recently, and though I expect you are doing as well as could be expected, I still worry a little about your state of stress.

YOU ARE BAD!!! My old roomies did that to me on my first knee surgery.
They took me to a mall with ramps through the whole place. let me go at the top & aimed me at small children.
Totally scary. what if one of those little buggers would have actually landed on me??? EWWWWW!!!!

Hope all goes well with your daddy's surgery!
BTW Kendra is right! Once it's all over with your dad will realize he was feeling bad for a long time... My MIL had a quad bypass in October. She is doing so much better now and is realizing now how bad she was prior to the surgery... She is doing better daily now and still improving her stamina but she's already far better than she was before her surgery!

surgery went well, they only had to do a double and her father was resting well...in CCU, but still resting well. The doctor, she says, seems quite pleased with the results.

She has taken her cute little bottom and gone to bed...she's had a long day.
