Dont come here and ruin this thread, show some class. I did not abandon my family. My sons are 22,24 and 26. All my life I cared for them and still do. But they have their own lives. I still help them and am there for them. I didn't abandon anyone.You have no idea what it was like back in NM. I had to let them all grow up, my " helping them" wasnt doing it. As far as the hats are concerned in the grand scheme of things thats not an important issue...you have your hands full as it is

Good luck at rehab and I am a woman of my word, we have a short road trip tomorrow and I will be checking the hats, hey I want one too! LOL

Good morning Rose, everyone. I need to catch up. Davids dad was to have a plasma transplant on Wed, I think it was Wed . But he had a heart attack so now we wait. The Good news is his blood pressure and temp are stable. Hes been in hospital 6 weeks as of yesterday. Rose , David keeps forgetting to ask his driver about those hats but he thinks he knows a place we can get them so we will check it out tomorrow. Im going try to catch up now, its crazy here!

You are most welcome sweetie. The ventilator is helping him breathe more easily. I am sure it will be removed when he is able to do it on his own again.

I hear you about the sun. We keep waking up to nasty fog and then when it lifts it is to just leave us with clouds. And then when the sun sets we get more fog or rain.

He now has the chicken pox, we think, and they did another plasma transfusion even though yesterday they said they were going to do it every other day. < sigh> But..he's stable, were going at 8pm.

Good Morning/update

Hello Rose and friends. Well, a busy weekend here. Davids nephew arrived safely Fri but they lost his luggage.( since found it ) We've been busy with him and hospital, work etc. Davids dad had his 3rd plasma transfusion yesterday. Im thrilled to announce he is starting to come around and they are weaning him slowly from the vent. Last night I saw him with his eyes opened for the first time and he was alert. He squeezed my hand and tried to talk when I told him not to worry and that I love him.I hadnt seen him like that in a week. I try not to stay more than a min or two because theres so many family and dont want to take their time away even though he assures me Im family too. Hes a sweetie and things are going well. I pray they stay this way, its been a long ordeal with many ups and downs.
I feel helpless but do what I can, cooking, laundry etc. Some of you may know, I didnt get to do any of this when my own father passed, I flew to NC but it was too late.
Rose, when the driver gets back, I'll know if we get pink hats Have a wonderful day!

No it's gloomy and foggy and just down right depressing....went to the dr this morn....guess I'm perking along so far and rehab this afternoon....

It's gloomy here too & i'm glad you go back to bingo..it will give you something to do instead of just being "cabin fevered" in your house..that sure does bring a person's spirit down too.

Hope rehab goes well..let me know how it went when you get back, if you're not too tired.
