You can write 7 words a day if you want, but that means you're gonna have your ass full by November 30th.

See what happens when you let these college women run things.
Next thing you know, she'll want to start 6 hours before me just because she's in Sweden.![]()
Just teasing. My fault I didn't look at when you posted for where you are.

She_Dvl said:I am pretty new to Lit. and new on Nano, too... But, I've been writing erotica for a few years. I haven't submitted anything on here yet, but I will get around to it. I just really wanted to pop on here and say howdy. I'm Ryleigh on Nano...btw.
I'm freaking out because I haven't even worked out a plot yet. Nope, no charaters either. I'm the sit down and write kinda person, always have been. But I'm thinking that may not be the best idea for 50,000... >groan< I'm gonna see what happens. If I finish, yippee... If I don't, it's a lesson for next year!! ;-)

Woo baby! Threaten me more!cloudy said:that cleavage is looking mighty tasty....
damn it! I've taken down my vampire AV, and since the hard drive switch, I'm not able to get into my auxiliary drive until I take it apart, and mess with it some more!

When I think about NaNo starting on Tuesday, I get this constricting feeling in the back of my throat.

1 day to NaNo!!!!!!!!
Svenskaflicka said:Nah. You just need to write 50.000 words in 30 days. It doesn't say anywhere in the rules that you can't quote the phone book. I know, I've checked.
oggbashan said:It is very easy to cheat at NaNoWriMo.
All you have to do to 'win' is put 50,000 or more words through their word counter.
Only you know whether those words are:
1. Yours
2. Written in November
3. Whether they are potentially a story or just a random selection of words.
The only person you are competing against is yourself. You will know whether you have completed NaNoWriMo by the accepted criteria. Anyone can claim that they have with minimal effort but the real sense of achievement comes from doing it legitimately.

And think up a plot. Do I need a plot?
chris 44 said:Plots are optional, along with dialogue, storyline, structure...
arienette said:Oh, forgot about them.![]()
chris 44 said:In fact, drop the characters altogether, they just slow the story down. How about 50,000 words on the challenges facing man in the coming decade ? Or 'The Cat Sat on the Mat' repeated an appropriate number of times?
