New Poll Numbers!

If I really liked & respected Margaret Sanger for founding Planned Parenthood (our nation's leading abortion-provider), I would probably be terribly embarrassed about her virulently racist past, and I'd want to dismiss it as having nothing whatsoever to do with her views on how to keep America's black population in check. And so I fully understand what it is that you're trying so hard to get across!

"And you wonder why we call you a racist."

I can't beieve that you're lumping me together with people like Margaret Sanger and Jussie Smollett - WHAT do I have in common with them? Of course, calling everybody with whom you disagree a "racist" rather cheapens the effectiveness of that word. It's not unlike when political-progressives try and insult a conservative by calling him a "fag!" I mean, using words like that as insults is hardly complimentary to gay people, is it?

"By all accounts, she was there to talk about birth control. Which was a pretty big deal at the time - she was one of the first people to even let America know it existed."

What started-out as birth control would soon morph into the horrific act of ABORTION! And people like Joe Biden, while supporting Roe. vs. Wade, ALSO supported the Hyde Amendment, which made it illegal to use taxpayer money to fund abortions. But, as with everything else, time erodes the values of liberals, and Joe Biden now WANTS taxpayers to fund abortion services. And NEXT on the docket is INFANTICIDE, which you currently oppose, don't you? But that will change...

"And it's why I believe Trump is going to lose unless the Dems REALLY shoot themselves in the foot. (Which, I concede, they certainly are good at doing.)"

It's not a matter of the Dems shooting themselves in the foot. In 2016, that party ran a woman whom President Obama declared was "the most prepared person ever to take-over the presidency," including himself. And when she lost, the Democrats were OUTRAGED, predicting that gay people would now be targeted for hate crimes (see: Jussie Smollett), Muslims & brown-skinned-Americans would be rounded-up, with women & children now living in fear! NONE of that happened! Instead, Trump built an economy so strong that even Obama & Biden are now trying to claim credit for it! Our border is being secured! Imbalances in trade are being dealt with! Our military is stronger than ever! All of the hysterical Democratic Party fear-mongering has made the House Democrats appear foolish, and that party's presidential candidates look like a flock of losers! OF COURSE Trump is going to win re-election! The only question is, how big will his landslide be?

If you liked and respected her, you would probably want to know the truth about her record, which is nothing like what you are so irrevocably convinced of. And I've already acknowledged that her decision to address the women's chapter is a stain on her record. Not like your own track record when it comes to people you admire like Steve Scalise - you just flat out deny that they spoke to racist groups. But Scalise did.

and I'd want to dismiss it as having nothing whatsoever to do with her views on how to keep America's black population in check.

Those views didn't exist, Dump. No amount of repeating that lie will make it true.

And so I fully understand what it is that you're trying so hard to get across!
The feeling is mutual. I see exactly why you so desperately want Margaret Sanger to have been a racist. It makes it easier for you to hate someone you already despise because she advocated for birth control, which you also clearly don't like at all. Never mind that would be the best possible way to reduce the incidence of abortion.

"And you wonder why we call you a racist."
Of course, calling everybody with whom you disagree a "racist" rather cheapens the effectiveness of that word.

Correct. Which is why I don't do it. I'm not calling everyone I disagree with a racist. I'm calling YOU a racist.

Now, look, I don't know what's in your heart, Dumpington. What I do know is that you constantly pepper your arguments with right-wing code-words that are loaded down and running over with racist intent. If I were doing that, I would want it brought to my attention so I could stop. That is all.

It's not unlike when political-progressives try and insult a conservative by calling him a "fag!" I mean, using words like that as insults is hardly complimentary to gay people, is it?

I have never once heard a progressive use that against a conservative. The other way around yes (most famously when Dick Armey called Barney Frank "Barney Fag"), but never what you're suggesting here.

"By all accounts, she was there to talk about birth control. Which was a pretty big deal at the time - she was one of the first people to even let America know it existed."

What started-out as birth control would soon morph into the horrific act of ABORTION!

Not if more people had access to birth control and used it right. But guess what? Your ideological ancestors fought tooth and nail against that for decades, thus ensuring that there were still a whole lot of unwanted pregnancies out there!

"And it's why I believe Trump is going to lose unless the Dems REALLY shoot themselves in the foot. (Which, I concede, they certainly are good at doing.)"

Hate crimes HAVE gone way up since Trump took office. Just because you ignore it doesn't mean it's not there.

YDB95 writes: "If you liked and respected her, you would probably want to know the truth about her record, which is nothing like what you are so irrevocably convinced of... you just flat out deny that they spoke to racist groups. But Scalise did."

There is NO COMPARISON whatsoever between the Ku Kux Klan's Margaret Sanger and Republican congressman Steve Scalise! The pro-abortion Planned Parenthood founder gave speeches to the KKK-women's-auxiliary about how abortion could help keep the black race in check (with the Klan wives heartily approving of everything she said), while the pro-life congressman was shot at and seriousy wounded by a murderous Bernie Sanders supporter! Was Bernie's hate-filled rhetoric at all responsible for that attack? I would say "yes," but you feel free to disagree.

"I see exactly why you so desperately want Margaret Sanger to have been a racist."

Steve Scalise NEVER addressed a Ku Kux Klan rally, and yet you INSIST that he's a racist because a Bernie Sanders wacko tried to murder him at softball practice as he prepared to play in a CHARITY game vs. the Democrats. Meanwhile, Margaret Sanger founded Panned Parenthood while occasionally speaking at Ku Kux Klan rallies, which you say was NOT racist because the only thing the KKK wives were interested in were her views on birth control, as killing black people was NEVER something they took seriously! I'd like to know WHY are you defending the Ku Kux Klan?

"I'm not calling everyone I disagree with a racist. I'm calling YOU a racist."

Yes, because I said that Jussie Smollett was LYING about being attacked by two African, MAGA-hat-wearing Trump supporters back in January of this year, YOU claim that my disbelieving Jussie makes me "a racist?"

"I have never once heard a progressive use that against a conservative."

Homophobic liberal Democrats often call conservatives "gay," as they view that accusation as deeply offensive to a straight man. I have witnessed libs using words like "gay" and "fags" all of the time! I'm guessing it just comes natural to them, and I suppose they feel justified if straight men feel insulted.

"Your ideological ancestors fought tooth and nail against that for decades, thus ensuring that there were still a whole lot of unwanted pregnancies out there!"

The ancient Spartans knew how to get rid of unwanted children, leaving newborns to perish on mountainsides. And the Nazi Germans built entire camps designed to get rid of unwanted human lives quickly & efficiently. Today, Planned Parenthood and its auxiliaries have it down to a science!

"Hate crimes HAVE gone way up since Trump took office. Just because you ignore it doesn't mean it's not there."

Let's be perfectly honest here - hate crimes went WAY UP during the Obama presidency! It was during Obama's second term when black NFL athletes began kneeling down during our national anthem, thanks to the anti-law-enforcement #BlackLivesMatter movement, with Barack & Michelle even entertaining that organization's leaders at the White House! And WHAT GOOD did THAT do? Seriously, did the #BLM movement & Colin Kaepernick accomplish ANYTHING aside from damaging NFL television ratings & attendance?

Did you even read Boxlicker's link? There is no known transcript of her speech, and no evidence that she spoke about anything except birth control, which is what most of her documented speeches were about. Since her writings prove she was not racist at all by the standards of her time, there is no reason whatsoever to assume otherwise in this one case.

while the pro-life congressman was shot at and seriousy wounded by a murderous Bernie Sanders supporter! Was Bernie's hate-filled rhetoric at all responsible for that attack? I would say "yes," but you feel free to disagree.

Of course you would. But I wasn't referring to the shooting (which I'm glad he survived - thanks to a black lesbian first-responder!). I was talking about his speech to the European-American Unity and Rights Organization in 2002. That's a white supremacist group. Scalise also has a history of referring to himself as David Duke without the baggage.

Nope. I do insist that he's a racist, but not because he was shot. See above.

Yes, because I said that Jussie Smollett was LYING about being attacked by two African, MAGA-hat-wearing Trump supporters back in January of this year, YOU claim that my disbelieving Jussie makes me "a racist?"

Cute, but you know damn well I never said that.

In your fevered imagination, yes. Listen, you're entitled to your opinion about abortion, but you really ought to at least educate yourself about the issue.

Let me get this straight. Are you calling what Colin Kaepernick did a hate crime? Or are you accusing him of as much just for protesting the very well documented abuse of black Americans by the police?

And yes, hate crimes did go up during the Obama presidency - because so many racists couldn't stand having a black president!

Literally every word you said is a lie. There is nothing and I do repeat nothing in existence to support your libel

. Meanwhile, Margaret Sanger founded Panned Parenthood while occasionally speaking at Ku Kux Klan rallies,

Once at an auxilliary is not occassionaly at rallies... you are an intellectual fraud

which you say was NOT racist because the only thing the KKK wives were interested in were her views on birth control, as killing black people was NEVER something they took seriously! I'd like to know WHY are you defending the Ku Kux Klan?

We are defending the truth..something you have yet to utter concerning her

I think Dumpington believes Sanger invented abortion. Fact is, for thousands of years women have gone to the temples and religious leaders for their abortions.

YDB95 writes: "There is no known transcript of her speech, and no evidence that she spoke about anything except birth control, which is what most of her documented speeches were about."

Yeah, WHO would ever go to a Ku Kux Klan rally and say racist things?

Are you aware that racial hatred only compromises 3% of the Ku Kux Klan's agenda? The KKK is also all about improving children's education (teaching young white kids to hate the black race), improving our nation's infrastructure (using cheap, poorly-paid black labor), increasing AIDS awareness (if AIDS had existed in the 1920's), concern for our environment (in segregated white neighborhoods, at least), protecting America's energy resources (e.g. burning wooden crosses instead of crosses made from coal), and improving women's health (by inviting Margaret Sanger to their rallies to speak about birth control, and NOT about using abortion to control the black population!)

"But I wasn't referring to the shooting (which I'm glad he survived - thanks to a black lesbian first-responder!)"

I can't help but wonder if there have ever been any straight white male first-responders? We never hear about them, do we?

"I do insist that he's a racist, but not because he was shot."

Yes, and you insist that I'M a racist because I didn't believe Jussie Smollett's lies about being attacked in Chicago. You & Michelle Obama both believe him to this day, that he was violently assaulted by a couple of young black African men wearing MAGA hats, who shouted racial insults at him.

"Cute, but you know damn well I never said that."

Neither you NOR our former First Lady wanted to see Jussie put on trial for his racist hate-crime-hoax! It would have proved too embarrassing to all of those prominent Trump-hating Democrat presidential candidates & Hollywood celebrities who wanted SO BADLY to believe that it really happened!

"And yet you can't name a single example. As usual."

I have a Facebook account (as I'm sure you do, too), and I occasionally debate politics with liberals like yourself who don't even know me. And when they begin to lose, you'd be surprised at how many of them angrily call me "gay" to insult me. It happened just this morning! It seems that many liberals feel that it's perfectly acceptable to belittle straight men by labelling them "gay," despite the fact that homosexuality is supposed to be something that we're all supposed to be PROUD of, isn't that so?

"In your fevered imagination, yes. Listen, you're entitled to your opinion about abortion, but you really ought to at least educate yourself about the issue."

I've NEVER been intentionally insulted by a liberal-progressive angrily calling me "pro-choice" or a "feminist!" I can't recall any upset Democrats accusing me of being a "socialist" or implying that I'm a secret "Muslim!" Why do you suppose that is, YDB95? Are THOSE things not considered to be insults by people on the left?

"Let me get this straight. Are you calling what Colin Kaepernick did a hate crime? Or are you accusing him of as much just for protesting the very well documented abuse of black Americans by the police?"

Colin Kaepernick took his angry politics to work. He openly showed his contempt for the United States and for American law enforcement, and his behavior damaged his employer (the National Football League), and then he later cried about it when no team would hire him! I ask you: DID KAEPERNICK MAKE THINGS BETTER? Yes, or no?

"And yes, hate crimes did go up during the Obama presidency - because so many racists couldn't stand having a black president!"

I lot of people ALSO couldn't stand having an incompetent simpleton in the White House who presided over eight-years of a stagnant economy before then trying to take credit for the EXPLOSIVE economy created by the president who followed him! I wonder how many black Obama supporters applauded Barack's presidential executive order allowing transgendered guys to use women's bathrooms?

Jussie Smollett

What's your obsession with him anyway? You talk about him a lot. Why? Why don't you talk about how the Central Park Five that Trump wanted killed?

Classic racist move there dump. Bringing up something that has nothing to do with anything and ignoring things like how the FBI admitted to lying about Black Lives Matter and that white supremacists are the real terrorist threat.

you'd be surprised at how many of them angrily call me "gay" to insult me.

Prove it, show us. We want to see your full name too. Until then more bullshit and lies from a proven racist, anti-Semite, and liar.

badbabysitter writes: "Once at an auxilliary is not occassionaly at rallies... you are an intellectual fraud"

Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger addresses a gathering of Ku Kux Klan wives, and that's NOT racist, because she was pro-abortion? Is THAT your argument?

phrodeau writes: "I think Dumpington believes Sanger invented abortion. Fact is, for thousands of years women have gone to the temples and religious leaders for their abortions."

The ancient Spartans practiced a form of VERY-LATE-TERM ABORTION, phrodeau - long before Margaret Sanger came along with Planned Parenthood. But had Ms. Sanger been around in ancient Greece, her Planned Parenthood clinics would have destroyed the lives of those newborns without them having to be left on mountainsides to die.

dan-c00000 writes: "I know it's almost like dump hates women who have their own agency."

If somebody finds abortion to be horrific, it's because they hate women. If somebody finds ObamaCare to be a dishonest, deeply-flawed piece of legislation, it's because they're racist. If somebody feels that it's somehow wrong for guys-who-say-they're-girls to compete in athletic competitions dsigned exclusively for women, it's because they're "transphobic!" You are a fount of wisdom, Dan!

She gave a lecture on birth control once to an auxiliiary because she was pro-birth control to a group with significant political power at the time.... derp all you want, you cant change that

You have lied and lied and lied about her and when called on it all you can offer is your feelings

You're a coward and a fraud

If somebody finds abortion to be horrific, it's because they hate women.

Yes, we've established you hate women. You do not want them to have control over their own bodies so you force them to have babies if they were raped or giving birth will cost the mother life. That's what you believe, very simple dump. I'm sorry your tiny racist brain can't figure that out.

We are both in full agreement that Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger addressed the women's auxiliary of the Ku Kux Klan.

YOU go on to suggest that Margaret Sanger knew NOTHING about the Ku Kux Klan's virulently racist past, and that she ONLY viewed the Klan wives as a group of women wearing beautiful white sheets, with whom she could discuss issues like birth control and integrating our nation's schools.

I, on the other hand, believe that Ms. Sanger knew FULL WELL that the KKK was a racist hate group, and that she wanted to explain to them how ABORTION could keep America's black population in check!

"You're a coward and a fraud"

Seriously? I get labelled as a coward & a fraud for calling the Ku Kux Klan a racist hate group? What exactly do you WANT me to call them?

dan_c00000 writes: "Yes, we've established you hate women."

No, Dan, I don't hate the Ku Kux Klan wives because they're women - but yes, I DO deeply dislike the fact that they belong to a violent hate-group. You seem to be implying that because these racist, anti-Semitic women admired Margaret Sanger that we should somehow respect their racism. I disagree.

JackLuis writes: "New 2020 head-to-heads in national Quinnipiac poll just out..."

Have polls ever actually PICKED a president, Jack? I only ask this because as election night began on November 8, 2016 - the New York Times was confidently predicting that Hillary Clinton had a 95% chance to win the presidency (compared to Trump's dismal 5% chance!) You remember that, don't you?

Nor did I suggest anything whatsoever that she didnt know of their beliefs. Speaking about birth control does not make you a racist just fyi

I, on the other hand, believe that Ms. Sanger knew FULL WELL that the KKK was a racist hate group, and that she wanted to explain to them how ABORTION could keep America's black population in check!

Once again what you thought, and as usual has zero basis in reality as you can not show an instance about your black genocide masturbation fantasy

Seriously? I get labelled as a coward & a fraud for calling the Ku Kux Klan a racist hate group? What exactly do you WANT me to call them?

You have literally no idea what she said, what she thought, why she went, why she never returned.. and yet you want us to consider your feelings as cold hard evidence

First of all, you've got the Bradley effect backwards: that's when there's a hidden vote against the candidate in the lead, not a hidden vote for the one trailing. But even if you're right, it's a ten point race. It's been decades since the polls in any election have been wrong by that much. (Yes, including 2016 - they did tighten substantially in the end.)

We surely would if they saved the life of a prominent politician with a track record of hatred for them. That's the only way your analogy fits at all here.

"I do insist that he's a racist, but not because he was shot."

Yes, and you insist that I'M a racist because I didn't believe Jussie Smollett's lies about being attacked in Chicago.

Hold that thought a moment...see below.

"And yet you can't name a single example. As usual."

I have a Facebook account (as I'm sure you do, too), and I occasionally debate politics with liberals like yourself who don't even know me. First of all, Dump, you almost always put words in your opponents mouth - as you just did with me in this very post with your claim about Jussie Smollett. In reality, I have never once said anything in his defense. Not here or anywhere else. I have no doubt at all you do the same thing on Facebook as you do here. But if someone really did call you gay, I have a pretty good idea as to why that might be. You were probably making some very homophobic arguments, and the most ardent homophobes often turn out to be self-loathing closeted gays (remember Larry "Wide Stance" Craig?) So perhaps that was what your Facebook nemeses were getting at.

I say yes. He brought attention to the very real problem of racist police brutality, and it made a difference.

I lot of people ALSO couldn't stand having an incompetent simpleton in the White House who presided over eight-years of a stagnant economy before then trying to take credit for the EXPLOSIVE economy created by the president who followed him!

Irony is dead. That is all.

I wonder how many black Obama supporters applauded Barack's presidential executive order allowing transgendered guys to use women's bathrooms?

There was no such order. Get your terminology straight.

Colbert is a comedian. Why should anybody take seriously what he says, any more than they would believe "The Onion?"

Because he has a great record when it comes to factual accuracy in the basis of his jokes?

The Bradley Affect is a situation whereby one candidate is more PC than the other and leads in the polls, but the other candidate wins because those who respond to the pollsters lie to them about their preference. It was named after Tom Bradley, a black man and the Dem mayor of Los Angeles, who was running for gov of CA in 1982. Bradley was heavily favored, but George Deukmajian, who was white, won the election. It is generally believed that people gave PC answers when asked their voting preference.

I consider this to be a similar situation. Voting for Trump is very un-PC, so people will lie and say they are not going to do it.

Your first sentence is gibberish. In a head-to-head matchup, a vote against one candidate is a vote for the other. In 2016, Hillary had a bigger lead over Trump than any of those you have mentioned, and still lost.

ETA. If you are interested, here is Hillary's lead two weeks before the 2016 election:https://www.cnn.com/2016/10/23/politics/hillary-clinton-donald-trump-presidential-polls/index.html

Titles of large things (books, magazines, newspapers, movies, etc.) go in italics. For example, The Onion is a more trustworthy (and less racist) source than The National Review.

Also, dump said something somewhere about him not being a racist which is fucking hilarious. The only thing he hates more than minorities is women.

Yeah, badbabysitter - whoever heard of the Ku Kux Klan burning crosses? WHY they want to do such a thing?

YDB95 writes: "So now the Klan is a joke? Just when I thought my opinion of you couldn't get any lower..."

Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger certainly didn't see the Klan as a joke. She respected the KKK enough to accept an invitation to SPEAK before that virulently racist hate group. YOU claim she only wanted to discuss women's health issues, while I'M guessing that she wanted to explain to them how abortion could help keep the American south's black population in check.

"First of all, Dump, you almost always put words in your opponents mouth - as you just did with me in this very post with your claim about Jussie Smollett. In reality, I have never once said anything in his defense."

No, YDB95, you haven't. But you HAVE demonstrated a very SHALLOW set of principles that you will abandon in a heartbeat, just like your heroes on the politically-progressive left so regularly do! In the immediate aftermath of Jussie's racist-hoax-attack, the outpouring of support for Jussie from the Trump-hating Hollywood-left was deafening, as were the tweets of love & support from Democratic Party presidential candidates, & Nancy Pelosi! They didn't CARE about the facts - they simply wanted to BELIEVE that a gay-black-Trump-hating actor had been jumped by a couple of MAGA-hat-wearing African men from Nigeria. No, you may have ignored it at the time, but if so, you were the ONLY liberal Democrat to do so!

"I say yes. He brought attention to the very real problem of racist police brutality, and it made a difference."

Yes, Colin Kaepernick made a difference. He DAMAGED the NFL with lower attendence & television ratings. But are you now saying that he in any ways ENDED black guys getting arrested by police? Are race-relations BETTER than they were, thanks to Kaepernick disrespecting our flag?

"There was no such order. Get your terminology straight."

While Barack Obama was president, he issued an executive order (number 13672) forbidding businesses working with the government from discriminating against homosexual and/or transgender individuals. The president instructed public schools in May of 2016 to allow transgender students to use the bathrooms matching their chosen "gender identity," threatening to withhold funding for those schools that did not comply. Less than a month after taking office, President Trump REVOKED Obama's executive order.

You know Dump, there is a thread about Abortion just below this one.
Or, can't you read any better than the Trumpster?

Yes, Jack - you're absolutely right. And I'm sorry.

But sometimes people discuss things that aren't related to the topic at hand, and I feel a need to respond accordingly. It would almost be rude to do otherwise.

As for today's daily tracking polls for the Democratic Party's presidential nomination... Joe Biden continues to lead the pack with 32.2% - that's far ahead of Bernie Sanders in 2nd-place with 16.8%... Liz is at 10.8... Buttigieg moves up to 4th-place with 7.2... Kamala drops to 5th-place with 6.6... followed by Beto at 3.8... Cory Booker at 2.4... and the remaining 17-candidates all bunched-up together at the bottom.

As for President Trump's latest approval numbers recorded just this week, Rasmussen has 50% of Americans APPROVING of the job he's doing, with 47% disapproving.
