hello, Feistyred

I took my vacation in FLA the first of July last year...We flew into Orlando and rented a car, drove to Daytona.
The weather wasn't too bad until the last couple of days we were there. Hot, humid & generally misrable.
Thunderstorms the likes I've never seen!
The one on the evening of July 3rd was something I don't think I'll forget anytime soon.
Having lived in FLA when I was younger...
I kept telling my friends that No one took vacations in FLA in the summer. They didn't listen to me...lol

He is a trip I agree, not a bad trip just a trip. (Don't want to get him going you know?)

There are some great Texas folks here, I've 'met' a few myself, all are very nice.

a couple of us had thrown out the idea of a FL get together, but I think Ishmael's zeal in wanting to geek it up worried people.

yeah, generally the best time is Nov & Dec. With Hurricane season done the humidity & temps are quite nice.

Daytona on the beach is a mess. Lost a lot of the seawall with the hurricanes. Had to close & condem at least a couple restraunts. Every once in a while hear about a condo or hotel that is starting to loose sand from under its foundation.
