Kitty ...

A vibrating lap warmer? Now is this purrhaps what you used when you played Cat Concentration? I don't see this helping me concentrate ... on that game. :D

chirrreep?

meow?

MEEEEEOOOOOOWWWWWRRRRR!!!

....I want to be on the OTHER side of the door...

..........................................................NOW-OW!!!!!

:catroar:

*sigh*

Oh. Look. A dust mote floating in sunlight.........pounce
Kitty ...

I had been off prowling around (driving through traffic), seeking my fortune (working), poised ready to pounce on small prey (contracts).

How wonderful to see you left us that cream and tuna. Mmmmmm, looks good!

Now Kitty, I know how much fun it is to chase those dust motes and all, but if you would ... please open the door. ;)

*plucking gently on the windowscreen*

Reading Kitty's post here, of setting out tuna, does make me think about cat food. Particularly canned cat food.

There's quite a variety these days. I can recall seeing tuna, beef, pork, lamb, chicken, and turkey. But really, when's the last time you saw or even read of a house cat taking down a cow (or even an innocent little lamb). Seems to me there's a wide open market for canned mouse.

Yes, this might sound strange, but it makes sense to me.

What do you think?

Sky :catroar:

hmmmm...That sounds like a very interesting day there, Sky. I need to start seriously looking for new hunting grounds. The money that grows on trees is only goind to last about another 10 weeks...then I'll have to start asking people to let me hunt for them just for a scavenger's share of the prey none of the juciy tid bits for me...sigh.

Door? Oh door. So sorry to have let it close behind me. I'm glad you like ther tuna and cream but don't you think that the earlier proffered nipsicle is much more appealing...err...maybe that should be read tempting.

Do you think we could convince that precious tabby to share with both of us? They do sound so enticing...errr...um...it...yeah, yeah.... it sounds so enticing. :p ;)

*opens the door and puts a phone bood in it to keep it from closing* :catroar:

There that should help for future door prooblems... :cathappy:

Other than all that, how are you Sky? Looking forward to a nice weekend?

That does sound interesting. I have an idea. You go ahead and try it, let me know how it works out, and then I'll be very happy to help with the sales. I do have a question for you, though. Well, two actually.

Are you going to raise these mice to be eaten?

If you aren't who is going to catch all the mice?

Oh Sky. You just gave me an interesting thought. My fishies spent all night and day laying eggs. I know there's well over 100 eggs in their little cave even though I couldn't possibly count them all not could i photograph them...it's too dark in there.(see attached)

So I have a dilema. I have no earthly idea about how I am going to deal with all those babies?

How does Convicts in a Can sound? Or perhaps Convicts on the Half Shell?

Seriously, I know you don't know me...but I could never do something like that. Goodness. I have an extremely difficult time reconciling myelf to eating tuna these days. *sigh*

Have a good weekend all. I'm going to be a grandmother...

again...

for over 100 kids...

Oh. that last part I don't even want to think about. Could any of you imagine? 100+ of screaming children. I shudder at the thought.

*poking his whiskered nose through the doorway*

Thanks, Kitty. Good to see you here this evening.

Yes, a few laps at that nipsicle would be a nice treat ... after dinner of course. :D

Ah ... having to find new hunting grounds. I think I know this one. Sorry this is going on for you but I sense you're accustomed to landing on your feet. I do wish you the best in your hunt. For me, with the technology sector taking a bit hit, it's been a challenge but getting better now.

Purrrhaps we should consider starting that business ... offering canned mouse morsels for cats. Now as for gathering the mice ... hmmmm ...

I'll think about it over this weekend. Have a bit of work to do around the yard this weekend. And looking to spend a few hours on a pet project. Surely hoping the weather is warm and clear tomorrow ... nothing like a catnap in the grass and stalking shadows in the moonlight. ;)

Kitty, I do hope you have the chance to relax and enjoy yourself this weekend.

what do I think? well, Tabby likes sausage, and tuna, hold the lamb and chicken and turkey,
and seems to me, if you'd just turn around on your chair there, I'd have a wide open market for
er heh! mousers :cattail:

I've got Gato's sax on my mind ;)

Hi Everyone,

hls, they say that if a kitty chooses your home then you will truly be lucky. So I hope she stays around for some time for you so tht you will have lots and lots of luck.

She is a very pretty kitty. Quite sweet in her tolerance of having her picture taken. Hope you get to see her kittens soon. Has she told you her name yet?

How wonderful. Opening your home and your heart that way. Yes, there's no way of telling what may happen. But what a delight to read of your gift.

Here's hoping for a day of gifts to you,

Sky

PS: And do keep us posted.

*shakes loose from that gaze*

Ahh ... yes ... Kitty ... about those fish? I've checked with a couple of local pet supply stores about their exchanging those forthcoming baby's for mousie food. Something along the line of "nibblits au Gratin."

I figure this would help find a home for all those fishies while helping to capture those mice. You know, the mice we'll need for that "mouse moule a la can." (Sure sounds more appealing than "rat-tatoullie," don't you think?)

So with this I propose,
We can cast off those woes,
And start this business venture.
Using mouse-meat to feed,
Hungry kitties indeed,
Will be a marketing clencher.
It will be hard work
But not without perk
Stuffing meat in the can all day.
And best of all Kitty
Thou' mice sure aren't pretty
They do make pussy's want to play. :D

Sky ;)

Sorry Sky...

I was distracted by your "in stiches over these threads".

Please feel free to correct me, but for the life of me I cannot see even one stitch anywhere that you might be in.

As for your...uh...business proposal...

Hmmmm

Where exactly was it that you'd like me to send the fishies?

*sigh* There is no way that I have the attention span to reply in form right now...way too many distractions. What with the sweet Tabby's nipsicles and your stitches it's quite impossible for me to concentrate. LOL :D

Hello Kitty ...

Hey, about those baby fish ... I'm not sure if they would survive the shipment to me. So, other than trade them at the local pet store you could consider adopting a puffin. Fish enjoy playing with puffins, at least according to one of my favorite children's poems.

There once was a puffin
By Florence Jaques

There once was a puffin
Just the shape of a muffin
And he lived on an island
In the deep blue sea.

He ate little fishes
That were most delicious
And he had them for supper
And he had them for tea.

But this poor little puffin
He couldn't play nothin'
For he hadn't anybody
To play with at all.

So he sat on his island
And he cried for a while
And he felt very lonely
And he felt very small.

Then along came the fishes
And they said "If you wishes,
You can have us for playmates
Instead of for tea."

So now they play together
In all sorts of weather
And the puffin eats pancakes
Like you and like me.

Now as far as gathering mice ... leave it to me, Kitty. Since I'm sitting at the table (yes, without a stitch as you noticed) and everyone else is out, including our felines, there are no pussies around here to scare off those mice. :D

:rose:
Sky ;)

*Roll Over, Steinbeck*.....

....for this is the Summer of my Content :cathappy:

oh you two are just the cat's meowrrrs, making me think of Mice and Men in a totally different light *having a smoke here*
*or should I say puffin'* ;)

what Sky is, is in skimpies on these threads, and a sight to behold

but I am in stitches over those poems and this "business venture" you're both so adamant about,
if you have an opening for a good salescat, then I'd be more than happy to fill the position,
that is if I don't eat the fishies first, but the mouse mousse might be a bit tricky to get off my hands :catroar:

I doubt I'd be able to can a mousie
