I hate the first day back to work after a break, like school. All of my middle-aged stuff hurts because it doesn't take too long to get out of the swing of things. My feet hurt - mostly just annoying.

We've had a pigeon problem on the job. The back wall of the house has a few holes in the eaves, and the little darlings make themselves at home, and roost there, and do cute little pigeon things while roosting.

Chris had brought his pellet pistol, and we had tried shooting them with that, but it just didn't have enough ass to do anything but annoy them. Today, he brought in his neighbor's fifty year old pellet rifle, which you can pump up as many times as you like, or can. It doesn't have a back site, so it aims a bit like a shotgun. We pumped it and loaded it and went upstairs early, but saw nothing. The customer came by at 10:45, and we went upstairs again. We were surprised by two of the sweet little disease-carrying airborne vermin. I grabbed the rifle off the mantel, and lined it up with the one in the rear, as they were leaving. It was dead when it hit the floor.

Anyone got a roast pigeon recipe????

Peanut butter works great for mice and other rodents.

Possums don't seem to care about it.

Hey ya'll!!! What's goin on??? i'm watching this program on pbs on Frank L. Wright..intresting man he was..genius with the house on the rock idea..very cool. At the age of 70, he was still building and doing wonderful work..awesome.
