Alright, here is what we are going to do. Let's take a break from the thread until Monday. On Monday I'll post whether we will be starting fresh or just rehashing what has happened so far.

I'm finally back and at least 70% caught up on everything.
To be fair I'll admit that I focused mainly on Anakara, Dragon, Gentli, and Ithica's post since they seem to be the ones in question.
To be honest you guys, this shit is FUCKING GOOD!!!
Yeah, I see some "kinks" that will have to be worked out but Ankara......*applause*.

That was comic book worthy. And I'd also like to commend Gentli, I did notice the "differing" personalities of Madrox even here at the mansion. Really good writing man I was enjoying it.
BEST POWER display since Wizard VS Magma (you can hate me but honestly I thought magma getting frozen then melting the ice block was fucking sick) is Surge hands.
Down, not one, not two, but THREE canon uses of the power. Using her speed to run to the scene, guessing as an android that Zeno may be vulnerable to eletric surges, and the kicker was Surge using her powers to absorb the electricity. I didn't think you'd get that one but you did. Great character research
As far as Dragon, first I'll say that Dragon is a pretty cool guy. I hope he doesn't take anything personally. I want to talk it over with J.D and hear what everyone says but my recommendation would be this.
-We don't relaunch the thread. This one is smoother than the first and once we do some "cleaning up" I'm interested in seeing what Ankara and Gentli are up to.
-I'll post something I should have done earlier before getting distracted about rp battle rules. J.D and I really labored and debated how to do the battles. I still think for the time being the way we've been doing them is the best and up until the "retcon" explanations came in it was going pretty well. Ankara had a great plan. Tai confronted Jaime and Jaime sent dupes after him. Tai went through them like the ending to Bonnie and Clyde and Gentli took the hit.
That was great stuff guys. What happened after is a little fishy but it can be worked out.
-I really wanted to do a separate thread (not a bite off of J.D and Vix) with Magma and J.D. It may not even be an X-Men thread but it would be set in the X U we've made. So each could have a chance to develop characters and work on making sls and characters that aren't unbalanced.
Do I want Dragon to leave the thread?
After reading his posts I will say no and the reason why is I don't think he understands what it was he did wrong. Seeing what happened this time will help.
I DO think Xeno and Cable should leave the thread. Xeno is just not suited for the thread. I'm happy dragon brought him because we needed to kick someone out to establish one of the things that J.D and I were aiming for which is not everyone will get to be X-Men, not everyone will get to go on the missions and not everyone will even get to stay at the mansion.
Creating characters is a like a try and see approach. After they'be been created bring them to the mansion and we'll see if they fit. If they don't work for the thread then what happens to them in the thread will reflect that.
I'd like to hear what you all say.
I'd like to apologize for my extended absence as well. I'm caught up now and I'm debating about using Havok or Psicout until everything is cleared up but I'd like to hear your thoughts.

But Gentli did the masterminding behind the scenes, and i just ran with it.

As I've been busting out rather lengthy PMs as of late, I'll try to keep this short.
I'd like the room to stop spinning. The thread's gotten so muddled, it's dizzying. I'd just like to get back to a place where it's easy to move forward.
Aww... you've been a peach yourself. Some of the best ideas came from you. Besides, so far I've done nothing. You've done all the work and done it spectacularly. I'm looking forward to plotting with you more in the future.
As for the thread... well, we'll see. I can't quite decide what my prefered outcome would be in all this mess. We've added some interesting twists that I'd hate to see lost, but for clarity and direction's sake, I wouldn't mind seeing things restarted.

In my mind the retcons were invalid posts.
Ankara has the files that were downloaded and whoever was in the kitchen got torn to pieces by Xeno's guns.
I'm still trying to figure out how Cable fits into all this but the retcons were one of the problem posts I noticed.

Im at a loss. I love what everyone has done up until the mess in the kitchen. If we could go back to before the assult in the kitchen and edit Dragon out, perhaps making Kitty and the "evil" Jamie goto say Forge instead to DL the whereabouts of the other Jamies? Maybe just so you guys can get the info and delete it we can Have Thad and Nori show up and get Forge's attention away from the other two by having Forge help Thad with his musical chamber.
Is it possible to have a Thread Host delete posts? Even if they could delete all of Dragon's posts after a certain point and we all go back and post "..." to erase the whole kitchen scene. I dunno, like I said Im at a loss.

As for Dragonrazor, I already asked him to leave and he responded that he would go and that he was getting "bored with the thread anyway". Just from playing with him in the last thread even with one character we would still be where we are now. He left us all scratching our heads a few times in the last thread.

As much as I recognize the problems with dragon's post I'm still wary of editing out xeno completely.
I can't describe how lame the sitcom Family Matters was after the show went from the family having 3 to 2 children in a matter of weeks.
It was kinda disgusting just cause it made the suspension of belief so necessary for fiction so difficult.
I'm going to re-read dragon's post again but there were a LOT of good things there that I would hate to see edited.
Ankara, Gentli and Ithica did some great role playing and J.D and Vix's response gave the mansion a nice deal of continuity.
I think this is an ideal time for Forge to be introduced to help clean up the stuff.
As far as the inconsisten and omniscient posts of Cable and Xeno, I'll look at them and see if we can come up with a "no prize" like explanation. Honestly I would prefer that than a write off.
I think Xeno should have the distinction of being the second person to leave the thread. And maybe its just me but while Cable's knowledge of the future might be really annoying in the hands of rpers as a potential plot device I find it intriguing.

I think a sensible summary of the events up to this point would be the way to go. Chihiro and Xeno are lead to DL info and blast Madrox, while Shadowcat and another apparently separate Madrox suspiciously attempt to take their leave from the scene. I think if we do it to that point - the kitchen blown to hell and Shadowcat and Madrox distancing themselves - it'll be easy to for everyone to restate their characters' whereabouts. Perhaps Wolvie can head the remaining Madrox off in the front hall? As Ankara and I set up the SL thread, everyone else can organize and ship dragon's characters off.
As for Cable's knowledge of the future... it's tainted. He's come from a possible [though apparently quite probable] future to ensure that future does not happen. It's been stated that after mucking around with pivotal points in time so much, his knowledge has become compromised. Therefore, while he may have some clues he's far from all-knowing. I think this's a pleasing compromise to his character.
Looking at all the discussion occurring, I'm going to abstain from pushing my opinions on these issues any further. It is worth pointing out, Cable was a character Dragon introduced abruptly in the last thread and he had knowledge about Wizard's future too. In many ways Cable was just a foil for dragon's characters so excusing Cable from the mansion with Xeno and the others wouldn't be a bad idea imo.
