OOC: It takes a Village...Strategy Game Thread

Skinny Ha

You Boy More Than Likely Has Only Eaten Rice And Dried Out Veggies. Not Like My Svelt But Slightly Robust Tufa Who Dines On The Fat Of The Land.

You'll make me regret that I didn't choose to play a village of some kind of cannibals from Papua ;)

Yummy... Wisigoths with pickles.

Ok, since we've talked it over by PM, I've done a little bit of editing, mainly to add myself a sister. Good luck in writing the next turns, Jagged !

Name : Danjuma Angana

Description : Danjuma is a tall and thin African man, muscular and without an ounce of fat. He keeps his hair and beard short. He is 20 year old, and hasn't learned to master his pride yet. This pride is one of the few things that can make him lose his cool blood. He is better at listening than speaking. A gifted archer and hunter, he still likes to train with the warriors.

Background : Danjuma was born the son of the village's king, in the village of Ghosa. His father, a cunning man named Ngoli, had been at first a mere peddler, but his travels between the different villages of the island had brought wealth to him. He started to bring abundance to the rest of the village too, and gained respect from the others.
Twenty years ago, Ngoli intrigued the whole village on the day he came with an unknown woman with a necklace of feathers. The woman was named Lolovivi and her beauty was unearthly. He told that he had found her while hunting a large black bird in the savannah, and had forgotten all about his hunt as soon as he had set his eyes on her. Lolovivi did not speak a lot, but her presence blessed her husband, for all the men and women in the village started coming to him for advice. She also blessed him with two healthy children, first a boy they named Danjuma, and two years later a girl called Limbe. Alas, the third child was stillborn, and according to the midwife, was hideous to look at.
When the former king died without children, several years after Danjuma's birth, the villagers nominated Ngoli as their new king. But the responsabilities of power needed all the attention of King Ngoli, and he started losing interest in his wife, hardly noticing when she grew ill. Between the illness of his mother and the weariness of his father, young Danjuma was pretty much left alone, which allowed him to practice his archery with the warriors, and to listen to old Okon, the village's griot, who could be described as a storyteller, praisesinger and musician. His sister Limbe had a better relationship with their father, and her childish curiosity and her innate talent allowed her to start learning the basics of trade and stewardship.
When Lolovivi died on Danjuma's eighteenth birthday, his father was struck down. Because he felt his wife's death was his fault, Ngoli fell into despair and became totally restless. This was also the time he started to become violent toward his son Danjuma, which made the teenager go and walk in the wild lands for whole days, using the skills he had learned with the warriors to live off the land. Thankfully for her, Limbe was often busy in other villages, travelling on the tracks of her father, so she didn't really witness her father's problems.
Maybe driven by madness, or in an attempt to bring more wealth to the village of Ghosa, Ngoli eventually decided to attempt to trade with other lands and set sail on a flat, wooden ship, toward the broad ocean, with only half a dozen of fellows...

It has been two months since Ngoli's departure, and the villagers have turned to his young son for direction. Most think that the old king will never return. Limbe is now a 18-year old girl, smart and skilled at trade, but she does not think Danjuma will be a good king...

Ancient Research and Development

Research building......

A new addition to the type of buildings a rulder can have constructed. A research building allows for development of an idea without slowly production of a current project. For example a house swords will allow research into a better blade while allowing your blacksmith to continue elsewhere working on tools and weapons. A martime house will improve map making and ship building, a agriculture house helps to develop farm tools and better plant types. These small campus type buildings get technology moving forward and improve the kingdom. They of course need staff of some of the best and brightest to work in the workshops, teach and simply create the improvements. If you have two great smiths for example in town set one up doing research while the other works on regular production. Foreigners with different and new ideas are also good to staff these buildings as well.

Writers recap.......

Our Asian player has been MIA for at least a month. I know he has had issues delaying him in the past but he has always let me know so I hope he returns to the thread.

Our Visigoth commrade has assured me personally that when work let's up we shall have another excite post from him within the week.

Mantra is serving over seas at an own known location though he assures me he wants to continue play and that he will email his turns. So I will post for him.....it seems inactivity does not end you Lit account.

Our Russian player and one of the newest has kept up an impressive and steady stream of posts.

The latest prospect has his start up and running, and I am sure will respond soon. I am eager to read it.

Thanks once again for playing people. You some of the most creative minds I have the privilage of writing with...I will look over this thread one day and think it is one of my best joint projects. As always tell friends and if you have contact with others that have gone astray let them know they are wanted back.....

Prelude to the Asians Triumphant Return

Sorry all for the porlonged absence, Many issues have been happening in my life right now and I have had very little time to be creative in my writting frame of mind. I had to work on some finiancal difficulties and now that those are most of the way completed I can now focus on my creative writting once again. I am truly sorry for keeping you all in the dark for so long and abandoning many of my own threads that I had running but it was nessacary for me to do so in order that I may become a better writter and thinker. I trust all of you will understand and please look for my post on Monday.

Like He Said

Shiann, You'll Have To Pick A Mortal Character In This Game. But By All Means You Can Make A Goddess That You Character Feels She Or He Gets Wisdom From But Also Romans Are Take. You'll Have To Pick Another Culture.

Shiann, don't give up. I started here on this thread too and I have found it to be most interesting as well as a great creative outlet. I didn't know too much about the viking empire before I started either. We are all here to help in anyway we can, isn't that right gang?

Help, Sure I'm Down To Help

HELP, SURE I'M ALWAYS WILLING TO HELP A YOUNG LADY IN NEED. UNLESS SHE'S DUTCH..... BUT THATS A DIFFERENT STORY. YES SHIANN, THIS IS A PRETTY GOOD GROUP OF PLAYERS TO WRITE WITH. WE'RE ALL SUPPORTIVE TO EACH OTHER AND TO JAGGED WHO MAKES IT A POINT TO ASK REGULARY FOR FEED BACK ABOUT HOW WE LIKE THE WAY THINGS ARE GOING. YOUR NAME MAKES ME THINK YOU HAVE SOME NATIVE AMERICAN BLOOD IN YOU. SINCE THE ROMANS HAVE BEEN TAKE YOU COULD LOOK INTO DOING A NATIVE AMERICAN VILLAGE. THIS WILL ALLOW YOU TO HAVE BOTH ROMANCE, SPEAKING WITH SPIRITS, AND INFORMATION ABOUT DIFFERENT TRIBES IS EASY TO FIND ON THE WEB. I WOULD SUGGEST READ SOME OF OUR POST https://forum.literotica.com/showthread.php?t=230454

FIND ONE PERSON'S POST AND FOLLOW IT AND SEE HOW THEIR STORIES PROGRESS. I READ ALL OF SCARREDSOUL82 POST WHEN I STATED. I THINK SHE WAS ONE OF THE BEST, AND I MODELED MY POST AFTER HER. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTION YOU CAN POST HERE IN THE OOC OR PM JAGGED, MYSELF, OR ASTERION28 AND WE CAN HELP YOU THROUGH

It is I, the Great Rone willing to lower himself to others and help a lady in need. Excuse me while I get off my tower of Ego!

Anyway, seeing as the Roman civ is already taken perhaps playing as the English or Spanish might be fun. I think that would add a new perspective to the whole thread. Both of them had lady rulers at one time or another and neither of them were rather tall so it fits.

the great Rone thank you for wanting to help me,i will be your undieing servent, and i will work my why up to a goddess and when i do i will want you by my side,so lead GREAT Rone, and i will follow and be here for you what ever your needs
