As to Lady Rose......she is fine the last we talked though always busy. Her married life is busy to being a good wife and expecting mother. We chat from time to time but with her on another coast we keep very different hours. She has expressed every time though that she doesn't want to be written out.

Well two people got updates......I am sorry guys this weekend turned out to be busier then I thought what's more is my computer kept giving me problems all the day I planned to work. If You So Desire You Could Write A Character That Is A Princess Looking For A Prince. You Just Happen To Rule A Small Village. Scotts, Irish, Welsh, And English Are Common For That. If Your Not Comfortable Writing Your Own Story I Have No Problem If You Work A Character Into My Story Just To Get Your Feet Wet. I've Got A Group Of Native Americans, Visigoth, And Romans On My Island. But You'll Have To Ask Jagged About That. But If It Gets You In And Writing I Don't Mind.

I WAS WATCHING TROY AGAIN LAST NIGHT AND IT GOT ME THINKING WHICH MOVIE HAS THE BEST MASS COMBAT SCENE. TROY, BRAVEHEART, KING AUTHER, TWO TOWERS, ETC.. THE LIST GOES ON. I THINK FOR REALISM BRAVEHEART, OR JUST SHEAR WOW FAVOR THE SCENE IN TROY THERE THE 2 ARMIES MEET AT THE WALLS OF TROY WAS ON MY TOP LIST.

I don't think you can go past Lord of the Rings, The Return of the King for sheer numbers, even if they are cgi. For some amazing scenes with huge numbers of real actors, some of the older movies have some incredible shots of massive crowds. Certainly Braveheart had some well done scenes. Troy had an impressive array of numbers although it kinda spoils it knowing that they are mostly cgi. The latest star wars movies have some large numbers of soldiers, even if they are clones.
Troy was such a crap movie. They totally disreguarded Homer and made up an ending that made no sense. It would have been much better to see Homer's work actually potrayed on the screen in its completeness. Still the opening scene in Gladiator is one of the better fight scenes I have seen that I can remember at the moment.

I watch plenty of movies. I haven't been online to say anything about them though lol
I do agree about the ballistas though, they were cgi alteredin that they made them throw further than they actually could. The ones in the return of the king were more accurate, with the kind of sling action although I think there was another name for them.
Tonofnoise, although I must admit I haven't had a chance to read much of your work lately, at a glance I would probably recommend you use a few more paragraphs, to break up the size. I will have a look at your story for you if you would be so kind and do the same with mine. I know I haven't had much time lately to write as much as I would like but I hope to change that soon. Any constructive critisizm would be appreciated.

Dualy noted about the size factor. When I get a chance I'll take a look at your last post and post my suggestions.
*From my understanding Ballistas were not used all that often. The bolts really didn't do enought damage as a seige weapon.

Erm, Tonofnoise, I'm really glad you're asking for help, because it's a brave thing to be willing to change for the better. Likewise, if anybody thinks I should change something in the way I write, please tell me so. Especially because English isn't my mother language.
So, Tonofnoise, I'd recommend that you use paragraphs. (Excuse me, but some of your messages look like brick walls.) Taking care about periods, commas, and the rythm of your sentences makes it easier to read, too. Avoiding caps (If you want people to notice your post... I don't know... Maybe you should highligh some important words, with colours or bold characters, and leave most words as they are.) is necessary too, even if it's in the OOC room or in the other rooms of this forum.

Thank you for the comments. I've seen this comment before with other links. I do tend to be long winded. With my last post I tried to work on it. But since I write long dialogue I see the wall forming. Again thank you as I have read some of your post and that only comment I have is I don't feel that you put enough detail in your story. Since I don't really know much about africa I would like to have some more description to I could try and picture where your guy is.

Lyandria welcome aboard.........we will talk more about your character and what else she will have to start, but otherwise I like what I have read. A sea captain is an excellant choice. England? well I could see a island dominated by Britons who have seafaring culture. So please pm me with more thoughts of your character and we will get to seup later in the week. I am glad you have liked thw writing thus far...I can promise many great adventures.....on sea and land.

Well then Lyandria, your sister's husband probably did a bloody awful job of it. It shouldn't hurt, it shouldn't burn. I have a friend who absolutely loves it, she says that some friends of hers even prefer anal to straight sex. Unfortunately, most guys think you just shove it in and that's simply not on. She will hate it and thusly never do it again.
I think it comes down to; (1) It has to be done properly or it's not worth doing it at all because, yes it will be an unpleasant experience especially for the woman, and (2) it just isn't for some people. We are all different and some just don't like it and so it shouldn't be pressed upon them to perform an act that they don't like. The girl I mentioned before who loves it, doesn't get it much because her boyfriend doesn't like doing it.
Just my 2 cents worth.
