Rone.......lost your post thanks to a mistake. I am grabbing some zzz.......and I will give it another try. Sorry.......had something great and losted it....I am so pissed right now.
You find a really cute guy and when your wearing a low cut shirt tell him its like a mac machine. As he slips his card in between your tits squeeze your tits together and walk way. You'll get a good laught and is he's really cute make him get it back with his teeth.
Question Elayne how do strippers make money in canada? You can't really but coins in a thongs. And I don't think you insert money anywhere else? But I have found money under my boobs once after a night of drinking. They make great wallets.
An interesting debate for a discussion area about military strategy fiction........lol
*walks in and gives Lyandria a box of beads*
First let us welcome the newcomer Lyandria....excellant first turn. You have infact inspired me on a new option for play. As for the rest of you......I have a 24hr shift coming up + alittle more so Friday I will be back to work.
The recruiting option.
Town Halls, Pubs, Meeting Houses, Temples........and other gathering spots.
An empire even a small island one needs manpower. Mostly soldiers to fight off invaders, police and patrol, keep the peasants in line and protect your castle. Warriors are a cut above the rest and training takes time. Peasants can do alot but most aspire to be sailors, farmers, or craftsmen. For warriors most have only the skill of combat. That being said getting these people on the payroll isn't easy.
So that brings us to recruiting. Once your on campaign or dealing with invasion new recruits will flock to your banner even if only for the length of the crisis. To support a standing army you need a steady stream of recruits to keep up your strength. A building where one can find out about joining up would help you fill this need. Many come by town halls for work while the local pub is a place of discussion where sea captains and generals alike can find the hardy souls they need. Meeting houses are another place as well, but a temple to a war god is a place where many of the best warriors will seek out and can be recruited. A temple to another culture's war god could be useful. For example if your a Viking tribal leader you will have a temple to Odin, but for the Romans visiting and living on your island they will like to visit a temple to Mars. This will become a base for a warrior communite building up around it.
Basically a place to meet gather and announce your intentions where the public has access. Lyandria you shall be rewarded for reminding my of a good function of a tavern.........Sid Meir's Pirates computer game uses them as a place to hear rumors, talk to travellers, and recruit crewmen. I once played a game were I recruited so many my personel rivalled the population of the town.
Well Lyandria on your first turn you have inspired our fearless leader and manage to divert the topic of conversation like only I can. So I too offer you a box of large party beads and thank you for the bounce. But I have to say all this bouncing reminds me of the real man show with girls on tranpolens.
Ow and one more thing there mistress Lyandia please keep your greek fire far away from my shores. I forgot that bit of tech level in history.
It was hot enough this weekend but still managed to do a few things. All time is busy now......hopefully in time though I will have it again. I know I will the end of the month. For those of you who have asked about my studies I am a college grad......but this is current line of study is to be an Emt. I work all day and four hours four nites a week. I am busy......schedule will change and class will end soon though. The road has been rockie but I am getting there....mid term grades show solid improvement.....wish my free time was just pulling the strings of empires. Thanks for your patients people.
I'm sorry but I think I'll have to quit this game. I just don't have enough time for it. The latest weeks have been quite filled with work, and now the vacation is starting. In both cases, it means I don't have time for the Internet. Or at least not very regularly.
Have fun with this game. It was fun, even if I didn't stay for very long.
Please disregard this post. It's no longer relevant.
Quite an exotic bunch we have here. Ought to be room for the boring old English as well. Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome the future Royal Family.
The London Family, Rulers of the English tribe.
CHIEF John London, 24
The 24 year old Chief is a somewhat average looking man. He has light brown hair and green eyes. Standing at six feet - taller than most, he is nonetheless a fairly average warrior without bulging muscles. Good reflexes and speed make up for this only-average-at-best strength somewhat, but John London would still rather use his other talents, allowing those more fit for it the honor of fighting.
These other talents include first and foremost the Chief's organizational skills. Even under his late father's rule, when John hardly had any power himself, he managed to push through reforms that strengthened the government's role in what was before a society of small and isolated clans barely able to coexist in a single village.
Even at this young age, John is already a widower. His wife died while giving birth to their second baby, a boy named James, now only 3 years old. The chief has a young successor, his firstborn son John II, but it will be many years before the 5 year old is fit to take over from his father.
Aubrey London, 23 (Chief's brother)
Bear of a man, Aubrey is built of solid muscles. He is powerful and agile. Only a year younger than John, Aubrey would be a contender to lead the village, had it not been for strict tradition of handing power down to the firstborn son of the Chief. As it is, Aubrey was destined to not rule from the very birth and was instead given a military education. Now he is the finest general and warrior the tribe ever had and serves with admirable loyalty to Chief John and the tribe.
Adam London, 20 (Chief's brother)
Like Aubrey, Adam had little hope of taking the throne. Instead of war, he took up peace and prosperity to specialize in. A distinguished inventor and industrial organizer, he already developed natural fertilizing procedures for farming that improved yeild over any of the previous years. Now if only the peasants didn't complain so much about having to handle manure...
His position as the Chief's relative allows Adam to dedicate his time to studies and inventions.
Anne London, 18 (Chief's sister)
As a girl, Anne was to have a boring and predefined life. To pass time, the young girl was given chores in weaving - manually as was the custom of the earlier time. Anne would much rather tinker with construction tools, seen as unfitting of a girl, especially one in the ruling family. In secret she had constructed a weaving frame device so simple it is a wonder how it never occured to anyone before. With it Anne kept up the appearances of working on weaving all day by turning in abundant quantities of finished cloth. In reality, she dedicated only a few hours to making the cloth with the help of her machine.
When this was uncovered, the old Chief's reaction was fury, yet Adam managed to sooth their father's anger and had Anne join him in his tinkering shop and lab. Since then they worked together and Anne's weaving machine came to be used throughout the village, turning out great amounts of linen cloth almost effortlessly and easily dressing everyone.
Sorry to see one player go.........if he must he must. But I have had discussions with a new one willing to take up the reigns of empire building for the ancient Britons. I know one other player what will be happy about that....smiles. I haven't decided on a tie yet, but I just may. Oh and not leaving empires to other players.....I decide what happens to them....if anything.
Anyway people let me know your ususal gripes, complains, and thoughts on improvements. As to replying sorry that still will remain the way it is for a few more weeks. Dealing with a staff of one here people....thanks for making it so much fun to come back and sit down and play. People playing from all over North America and overseas truly an impressive game.
Ah, if it isn't the Pirate Lady, the one Red Dragon! Forget not the blood that flows through your veins and be assured that England will always have need for brave privateers. Why be a common criminal when you can be a hero of your people, and a wealthy one at that!
As for the Queen... Well, there doesn't appear to be a monarchy yet, just a small tribe. But worry not. We shall unite the island of Albion and all the tribes that inhabit it. The Welsh, the Scots, all of them. And when this is done, we shall have a United Kingdom with a monarch at its head. This life is full of surprises. We just might end up with a Queen at the helm. Queen Anne.
