OOC: It takes a Village...Strategy Game Thread

so here is a very brief description of my chracter.. I would rather develope her in her turns .. it will be more fun ..


Neferti is an odd in the egyptian culture. She is Young and headstrong. She leads her village as though she were a pharoh and her belief in the many Gods has made her prospere.

Her father, ruler of the village does not really care for the village allows his daughter her to rule, and take care of it, in exchange that when the times comes she ties her vialllage to a good and powerful leader.

Hi guys....read all your turns and have a few ideas and the new arrivals that have come to you all wil be more regular. I have only not heard from is
ScarredSoul82 and have no way to get in touch with her....She was the first to join up and I would hate to loose her.... I am giving her a chance to submitt a before we move on...though plan to see my post in the next few days. I love what we are all doing and I hope it continues for a long while......please feel free to pm with questions and ideas. Like thoughts on what if a player misses a turn........does their tribe go on auto until the player returns? Give me some input guys.

Well guys I hope you are all enjoying the thread and I want you to know I am going to continue writing it as long as all of you are willing to keep playing.


Here in the United States it is the start of Memorial Day weekend. Normally it is a time for hotdogs, beach and parties with friends and family. Also it a time for us to remember all those who gallantly serviced and died for the United States on the field of battle. So for one moment I would like for us all to remember those who gave all so we can merely play at war and adventure. Be well and when you see a tired old man wearing a hat that says veteran remember that he deserves his rest. He saved the world once....


I will be working this weekend and so you will find your next turn posted this weekend.

Well over do and finally done...........A Battle some power brokering.....trade....you guys amaze me.....I hope you wall wish to continue on with the thread. I am having a great time and now will have more time to work on things.

Asians (a mix of chinese and Japanese) Taken

Greeks (Sparta/Athenas city state types)

Aztecs
Celts Taken though player is AWOL

I am also open to other good options...as far as tribes.

Each player will begin play with a small village consisting of, 100 Soldiers
(heavy Infantry Led by 1 captain with horse)
100 Militia (lite infantry led by 1 captain with horse)
500 Peasants (of your culture and can be used for most purposes. Can start any civilian job right way. Seamenship and Military jobs take special training.)

Basic buildings of a village (homes, food storage areas, village walls, boat docks, town hall, temple and work shops)

2 extras to be named at start of thread.

How are the turns coming guys? I know alot happen so I am eager to respond. Later in the week I will be away for a few days so I would like to either be replying or thinking about your turns. Hope your all still having fun. Seems like we are down a player....don't know why but these things happen.


Open to suggestions. There are not many strategy threads so I would like to see this be successful.

HHHmmmm..........Two turns thus far and they look good. A battle about to begin with mulitple attacks. For the Asians the battle continues. What spoils with you capture?

Latest turn is in people and I hope you like the results. You all seem to be doing alot. Battles, trade, warfare and you haven't even linked up yet.

Thanks to the two players that were here at the start.......and thanks to Little Egypt who was bold in her joining of the the thread that is doing so well now.

This has been a grand experiement and though I know not the first thread of its type it is probably the only running strategy thread.

Well guys it is late but 2/3 of the turns are in and I really like what I have read so far. THe Vikings savior and celebrate the new victory.....what to do with the captives though? A new life in the village? The Egyptians wow. Doing alot with the new reign of power. Trying to form a coalition good idea.....we will see how that works out. Will the new enemy rise to meet you? Waiting on the Asians.....alot happen to just as impressive. I hope to give you all more control of over your villages. If you wonder about an action post the question here or pm me and let me know. It will probably be a yes.....carry on



Oh saw Spiderman 2 tonight.......very good much improved over the first film. Should be see it in a big threater.

I am glad you like it too......I thought it was very cool. Much improved over the first and another rescue for Stan Lee...lol Only down side for me was I went with a Spiderman Expert who was displeased at some things....me I am a comic fan but I know when to just sit back and enjoy the film. Some interest hints to the future as well.

While I havent seen spiderman 2 yet, I totally agree with your view on seeing it as the film it is.

Lady Rozes, my commendation to your writing style and abilities. I am new to all this and I enjoy reading your storyline. It has inspired me to try new things in how I write eg, more dialog, character development, etc. Keep it up!
