Pathfinder: OOC

An obvious starting point would include the fact that at least two of our players are running from something and the region has no central government: it would seem easier to get oneself lost out there for a time. Sandpoint also has a cathedral so our holy members could be on a pilgrimage to it, possibly as a relatively safe journey outside of their cloisters for the first time.
But those are just the first things to pop into my head.
Hmm... I would be open to suggestions for my sorcerer. Possibly I work as a magical guard for a caravan some of the other players traveled with. Magical guard is probably the least effort thing he could get away with, and he doesn't mind working but he does mind being told to work.

I like all of what you had to say, Dramatic. I think you are on the right track.

Also some more info on Sandpoint:

Sandpoint
Small Town conventional (mayor); AL NG
GP Limit 800 gp; Assets 49,600 gp
Demographics
Population 1,240
Type isolated (90% human, 3% halfling, 2% dwarf, 2% elf, 1% half-elf,
1% gnome, 1% half-orc)
Authority Figures
Kendra Deverin mayor (NG female human aristocrat 4/expert 3);
Belor Hemlock, sheriff (CG human male fighter 4); Abstalar
Zantus, town priest (CG male human cleric 4); Titus Scarnetti,
nobleman (LN male human aristocrat 6); Ethram Valdemar,
nobleman (NG male human aristocrat 5/expert 2); Lonjiku
Kaijitsu, nobleman (LN aristocrat 3/expert 2)

The Cathedral:

Easily the largest building in Sandpoint, this impressive cathedral
is also the town’s newest structure. Built over the foundations of
the previous chapel, Sandpoint Cathedral is not dedicated to the
worship of a single deity. Rather, it gathers under its eaves the six
most commonly worshiped deities in the region, providing chapels
for all of these deities in a communal forum. In a way, Sandpoint
Cathedral is six different churches under one impressive roof.

the six Dieties are:
Desna
Iomedae
Sarenrae
Shelyn
Irori
Rysil ~ this god likes long walks on the beach and torturing snarky sorcerers.

Is there room for one more? And if so what classes are yet to be represented?

Coming in late to class, and expecting a seat? tsk tsk young man.

But no seriously we have the:

Paladin that lost his butt plug.
Sorcerer who can spike his hair with sea water and "is that hair gel?"
Bard who can dance your pants off, but if you are a guy you may not come away with the family jewels
Cleric of Irori who was once a Riddleport prostitute, and casts spells through orgasm. "When she says O GOD OH GOD! she really means it" That's emi's quote folks not mine
And last but certainly not least, the silent rogue. She has a hex on her family, but she will gut you like a pig if you touch her ass wrong, so learn to touch it right...or else!!

If you want to know who is who.....well you'll figure it out.

As to spots? If you post within the next ten minutes you will get this....BRAND NEW....nvmd

Yes we have one spot left, Do not duplicate classes, and Only the CRB classes. So just to be clear your choices are:

Barbarian
Druid
Fighter
Monk
Wizard

And who ever posts first for that last spot gets it, and as soon as that slot is filled I will start the new thread labeled Pathfinder: Rise of the Runelords. so c'mon what are you waiting for?

I would like to call the druid.

How does the name Lysander, Runs-with-night sound?

I don't have time right now to generate a character, but I wanted to know if using the path guy, pathfinder character generator is okay?

I know WHY Aruku is going to Sandpoint. She's seeking some time at the temple of Irori. A test of her path maybe... Hmmm. Yes, she is furthering her path of enlightenment and purity.

Stop it Jack. Your scaring the DM! It makes it hard for me to seem powerful and godly when you laugh at me. *Holds mock lightening bolt in a Zeus-like fashion*

Lysander? Where do I know that name? I like it! Anyways, yes please post Lysander in the format mentioned on page 2 of this thread. That will lock you in at number 6 and that will close registration. Thank you, Ravenloft.

Hey anywhere this girl goes I follow!!! THere is nothing quite like a priestess of a god of perfection seeking enlightenment through Orgasm! Long live the Kama Sutra!!

Thank You!!!

I don't know who changed the name of this thread, but thank you! I sincerely appreciate the fact that someone took the time to read the thread and change the name when I could not figure out how.

Sincerely,
Thank You

It comes from the works of Shakespeare.

That would be me... By the power of Castle Moderation, I have the power! But don't worry, I won't abuse it... :)

Correctinjg ORLY? the DM, no soup fo' you!!!

yeah that's called doing to much at once. Let me go do that. I will get that sixth god right in there.

I don't want your soup anyway. You probably drugged it or something.

I'm a DM too, so I understand completely. I even homebrew my setting, so my workload is huge when I actually get stuff going.

Also, your sixth god might suffer frequent derailment, frustrated plans and overly correctinjg players.

That last God will smite thee, and then demand tribute *steeples fingers* Ehhhxcellent Smithers

That last god will start having his followers disappear out from under him, because he's dealing with an experienced evil campaigner.
"Orcs got 'im."
"But you can cast magic!"
"They won initiative!"
(When of course I killed them all with a fireball.)

*smirks* you're not good enough be Mr. Burns aka Rodney Dangerfield, sir.

History: Born and raised in a distant jungle-land by a tribe of native sylvan who taught him the druidic faith in the hopes that one day he might become an intermediary between the world of nature and the world of man. His tribe was slaughtered or enslaved by invaders from across the seas and. Lysander only survived by follwing his animal-friends. The thirst for vengence was born in Lysander, (His birth name) Runs-With-Night's (The name given him by the tribe when he attained manhood in their eyes) heart, and he vowed punish the invaders, even if it meant forsaking the jungle, the only home he ever knew and go across the vast sea by stowing away on one of their ships...

As a person sometimes it's like Family Guy....you take a bit just a lil too far. I did that to Dramatic in this post and for that I apologize. I tend to be a bit off the wall and act the part of the evil tyranical DM with a God complex. It's a stereotype I choose to have fun with. It didn't translate well here so I will refrain. Once again I apologize and I sincerely hope you stay, Dramatic. You're a good dude. I am here to help you have fun not ruin the experience. I promise >.> Ok Can I still be a lil evil, like the diet coke of evil?

To everyone else: "Shops are nooow closing. It is now closing time for all shops!" ~This reference worth 200xp

That means folks that characters are in and the fun will begin shortly. No more character submissions :) Good Luck and have fun. Remember I take bribes :devil::devil:

You're not the only acting evil tyrannical dm with a god complex in the thread, Rysil. I'm one too. I wasn't intending to leave just back up and off the conversation. Like I said, we should still banter but we should limit it to the game and dnd in general, because there just really is no way to convey tone in text. Well, unless you're a damn, damn fine writer.
So you can still be evil. Go for Overlord evil, in my personal opinion. That game was great for dnd nerds.

I can do Overlord. Bt all your goblins r belong to me! hehehehehehehe

Ok somebody call the doc....hes lost it.

Naw Dramatic, it truly is easier to convey F2F, I think I should have also clarified that your DM is off his nutter. I like to play a role. And 90% of what comes out of my mouth OOC in games is just humors prattle. I like humor. But sometimes it happens. Its just not worth losing friends to make enemies.
Rys

I always liked what my DM did. If we did something stupid... Lighting from the sky struck us down (Wrath of the Gods for being DUMASS). We then went to heaven or hell, and then had to roleplay our way out... if we could.

One thing, I know we all cannot post all the time, and I am not saying we should implement a rule like this, but at least think about it.

If someone cannot post in say at least a week, then the DM can "npc" them. Like I said, its not a rule we should use, but to keep the flow of the game going... maybe?

When I DM/GM'ed on the other site.. (I want to say RPOL.net but I cannot be sure... it has been a while) I saw great games just halt due to one person being gone... granted they always came back, and it was for RL reasons. We all cannot be expected to just sit around our computers and wait for a chance to post..... at least you all might not be able to. I have only this to look forward too.. lame I know... :D

I also like my DMs to be nutty. Means more interesting encounters.

I do also. It makes for a lot more fun, but that also works the other direction... I dunno how many times our party would do something so off the cuff our GM would gnash his or her teeth in outrage, but go with it. (Dire Tigers, the cantrip "Catnip", and undead kobolds as a for instance)
