Are you going to a bonfire later?Morning all. Happy bonfire night... well..... day at the moment obvs
Iβve seen this in a Midsommer Murders episodeAre you going to a bonfire later?
The village doesn't do one which is a shame. Where I grew up all the local streets would work together to build a massive one in a field and it used to be a real community event.
I think people prefer the professional firework displays now
No.... sadly there not a community thing any more. We used to do the same as you when we were kids. Was one of the main events and highlights of the year. Are you going to a bonfire later?

It is Election Day here, so no bonfires, but in Portland at least, riots are possible. Gah, there is a reason I stay out of politics now.Are you going to a bonfire later?

I am thinking of all of you over there today. It is Election Day here, so no bonfires, but in Portland at least, riots are possible. Gah, there is a reason I stay out of politics now.
However, I have my own Bonfire Night tradition. Attack the Block watch party.
Yeah my dog is really anxious. I'm hoping all will be quiet here tonight. No one in the village let any fireworks off over the weekend so hopefully we'll be ok.Well Bonfire Night is off to a flyer here.
I don't want to be a killjoy but after having three dogs, each of them absolutely terrified by fireworks, I no longer enjoy them.
You not out painting the town red?I think he can watch V for Vendetta - in fact I might watch it while I have nothing to do all night
Quick power nap and a shower and get yourself out. Even if only for an hour or twoI've got 25pounds to spend on my tea - but I'm collapsed on my hotel bed knackered
Spoke too soon. First firework has just gone off and now the dog is having words
I forgot about that actually.I know one of the BBC Radio stations (I think R4) plays classical music all night just so dog owners can turn it up and try to distract their dogs/pets.
