I love going to the local Ren Fest. My family and I have been several times. The kids love it and so do HM and I. We go to the one in Bonner Springs just outside KC. It's the only place that's crowded that I enjoy. (I HATE large crowds) You get a lot of positive attitudes from everyone there.
Last time we were there, a young lady was sitting in the middle of the path on a hill, just sitting there humming to herself. I paused and asked her what she was doing. She smiled up at me and said, "I'm the dip in the road." I had a smile on my face for the rest of the day. (Yes, it did hurt, but it was worth it. )
That's the way it is everytime we go.

I love Ren Faires. My ren name is Castric, the castrator of fairies, stealer of souls, rouge, scandral, mecinary, assain. I give fairy testicles as faire favours. I go in garb of different styles, ran a booth this past Excalibur faire. Go to all the Texas faires, can't wait till fall. Looking for a wench in Texas to join me.

I Hate fairies is why I catrate them, and there are MALE fairies out there as well. Not many, (must be doing my job right then). Why do I hate fairies you ask? Many years ago, I was in love with a fair maiden in my village, we were to be wed. One night my love got too close to a fairy circle and a group of male fairies came out from the circle and enticed her to step into the circle. Now everyone knows that when a human steps into a fairie circle they're transported into the fairie world and reduced to fairie size. Now my love knew not to accept anything from the fairies in any form. Not even food or drink, for if she did, she'd never be able to leave the fairie world. Now that she was their size, the group of fairies decided they wanted to have some fun and proceeded to rip her clothes off and take turns with her. There were 5 of them, when they'd tired of her, they left her laying there. It wasn't long before she regained enough strength, to finally escape. But once she returned, it wasn't long before the truth came out. One of the stinkin' bastards had made her pregnant. Not many have heard or seen what happens when a human becomes pregnant by a fairie. The process doesn't take long, 9 weeks to be exact, the pregnancy is also very painful, the baby scratches, kicks and makes it really hurt for the woman. When its time for the fairie to come into the world, instead of coming in through the normal birth canal, they rip their way out of the mother. Because the mother is human the fairie is about hobbit size, they have to return to the fairie circle in order to return to fairie size. My love died from this, thus, I've become the castrator of fairies, in hopes of saving others from such a horrible death. Besides, haven't you ever wondered where fairie dust comes from? Its dried fairie cum....... Hope this clears things up. VA, I have to usually tell this tale at least once per faire. Castric

and here i was thinking fairy dust was like butterfly dust.....the iridescent colors on the wings that can be scraped off or rubbed off the wings.

She'd be hawking "fairy dust" and I'd go "Guaranteed to have one-thousand crushed fairies in each bottle" and she'd look at me with a look of panic and say "shhh! no, no, don't tell them that!" and then one of us would stutter something about no fairies being harmed in the making of the product... The patrons loved it, hehe...

lol.....i do bet that was funny. It's been a few yrs since I've been able to get to 1...but the carolina 1 has a pair of "twins" (cough) that are hilarious....as well as the tongue twister guy --the gree lears. hehe

I have a friend that sells candles made from rendered fairies...my younger daughter was his first customer.

I've worked the NYRF for the past 4 years - this will be my fifth season, if I get there - I might have to have surgery that will conflict.

Ugh. More annoying than anything. I get chronic sinus infections and if I don't have the surgery the infection could like... spread to my brain or something gross like that. I'm hoping I'll at least get to half the season though, or else I'll be really pissed... hehe...

I know you didn't ask for alternate suggestions, so overlook me here, but fenugreek and thyme helps clear up mucus, also colloidal silver (can take internally, and also use it as nasal inhaler type, like "snorting" salt water") to help w/ the infections. (I have a friend who is a CNHP, so she has studied and I have picked up some). I have also heard Neti pots are good to help to cleanse out the nasal passages, tho have not tried it. W/ you being in/around the new york area, most should be easy to find. (i'd personnally would look for someone who carries Nature Sunshine products, but that's me.)
