Replies from trolls who are passive aggressive.

She hasn’t said as much here, but @Erozetta posted screen shots from Reddit where she was saying that she was using AI to write a novel. I hope I’m not misrepresenting the situation, this is just based on what I saw.

To answer the question she asks, if you get AI to fill in the blanks between your original plot arc and beats, what you get is no longer your work. It’s also the work of all the authors whose stories were used without permission to train the LLM.

You end up having to acknowledge more people that @PennyThompson 😊.

@EmilyMiller Please provide a link to the so-called screenshots. TIA. If you accuse someone of doing something at least show your proof. I would like to know if I am defending the wrong person.

they seem to be the better person to answer that question because apparently me calling them out on their hypocrisy is what's going get me banned.
Reply was intended for @SmilingLez - I messed that up 😬

OK - @Erozetta did two things:

1. Here she referred to the OPs subscriptions to and history on two Reddit threads dedicated to AI writing

2. Here she posted some screenshots from Reddit (I assume the group @Erozetta mentioned - but maybe she can clarify - hard to read on a phone) - on closer scrutiny my context-based assumption that they related to specifically the OP seems off (again perhaps @Erozetta can clarify). I’m happy to amend my text should this prove to be the case.

As I said, I’m basing my current (and influencable) views on a) what @Erozetta said (I’m not on Reddit) b) the way the OP has not answered direct questions and c) used formulations like: the plot arc and beats are mine.

If she would unequivocally deny she is using AI to aid her writing, I would believe her.

FUCK.

Thank you @EmilyMiller for that information. Puts a different spin on things.

I am very anti AI when it comes to creativity, and this just pisses me off

Why don't we simply ask @Lolita30 : Is the story Starfucked completely your own wording or is it '... [your] original plot arcs and beats' then written out by AI?

Ok, this got me curious. I write in Markdown notation on both Obsidian, Ghostwriter, and even in my handwritten notes, and I've never seen a story using full Markdown notation posted here since there's no Markdown support on Literotica. AI detectors are crap, but what the hell, I decided to run it on GPTZero because it got me thinking, so once again, FULL TABLESPOON of pink Himalayan salt please...

95% AI.

I don't know what Lit uses to detect AI work, but man, I just cringe when I see raw Markdown like that. I'm used to it, it's confortable for me, but unprocessed it in a post, oh dear, it is annoying for anyone who isn't used to see the pounds and the asterisks written instead of in their mind's eye.

I wouldn't be surprised if the story was AI generated because of the comments on how an AI generates a story, by authors in this forum. Lots of repeating stylistic tics, use of over the top punctuation, and of course the lists of three (damn I just did a list of three with an Oxford comma. Hope no one thinks I am AI generated)

I’m not trying to cause problems for anyone. I wrote to the OP earlier and asked if they wanted to talk. I don’t think using AI makes you evil - even claiming it as your own isn’t evil. But it does make me sad.

But something about this thread seems a little off. Don’t know what precisely 🤷‍♀️

If someone got an AI-generated story through that wretched filter and then came here and trolled us all... honestly, I tip my hat to you. That is some A+ trolling.

But in all seriousness, that would be a pretty significant development.

People complain a lot about false positives in the filter. No one would complain about a false negative in the filter except Laurel and Manu, and they'd do it in discreet terms. If someone got a story through the filter and then used it to brag/troll/whatever, I hope they'd be more clever about it than this, but I guess it's possible.

Don't you think it's a cop out to change your voice in order to get a story posted? Is having a story go live more important than being true to yourself?

IMO, integrity and authenticity are far more important than simple math. Of course, YMMV
can you ask ai to make the story less ai?

I for one would like to see that reaction. Karma, in a way - it would make up for all the people who didn't use AI to write their stories and got rejected anyway
