RIP Professor Stephen Hawkins

He had a wicked sense of humour. ^^^ That's a great example. Brian Cox said when they were making that (for the Monty Python reunion, I think?), SH improvised the "pedant" line, which was the funniest part. Improvising, when your only method of communication is muscle twitch word building...

I can't even begin to understand a lot of his professional work (and I have a First in mathematics), but what a mind. Incredible scientific legacy.

There is probably no heaven, and no afterlife either,” Hawking said. “We have this one life to appreciate the grand design of the universe, and for that, I am extremely grateful.”

Professor Stephen Hawking :rose:

A great humanist

I’m so glad someone posted this!
(And now I shall steal it for people who apparently need to see it...elsewhere.)

“No one created our universe, and no one directs our fate.” :rose:

Theoretical physicist are rare
good theoretical physicists are even more rare.
RIP Sir
The world would miss you .

Helped millions to take interest in science and showed the world being disable doesn't mean you can't do extraordinary things and have an extraordinary life.

You're welcome, my sweet...

I'm also loving...

A man who grappled successfully with the "nothingness" that preceded an unbridled universe. Thank you, Stephen Hawking!

From one scientist to another, RIP. Go and find the bigger answers now.
