Sad news... Mrs. H....

I am extremely saddened by this news.

I adored Kate. She was one of the few people that I really really opened up to, she laughed and cheered when things were great. She encouraged when things weren't. She gave advice........some of which makes me giggle. I loved that she had her own little nickname for me.........shunnyshiney plus whatever she added to it. She will be deeply missed by me.

My thoughts and prayers are with her family and "real life" friends at this time.

MrsH..... Stands for Holliday. And I am stunned along with most of you. I knew she was ill but I didn't realize the gravity.
Not to eulogize but MrsH. was a bit more intelligent than the name of her thread suggested. If you care to look back a few thousand posts you can see a very witty pattern to her responses to whoever posted on her thread, which she tended with a careful spade. Never was a weed left to take root without attention. I will miss you Kate, I hope you find peace.

May your family have the strength to endure what undoubtedly will be the darkest moments they have seen.

This is such sad news. Mrs. H embodied grace, and I am smiling as I read all of these words about her, about the lives she touched here. I've had too much grief lately, and my heart goes out to her family and to all of the friends she had here. I imagine the circle of people in her life, what a great reach she must have had. What an amazing legacy.

Several people have posted about how important it is to live every day fully. I agree. Live it, don't just drift through. Be kind to the people you love, be gentle with yourself and follow your passions. Not in fear that you will miss something, but in pure joy at the wonders that surround us.

I'm not as eloquent as some and just don't have the words...it's strange how our lives can be touched by the loss of someone so far away

I'd spoken with Kate once or twice via PM after visiting her thread, and she was nothing but a kind and compassionate woman, who'd be there if I needed advice or words of encouragement. This saddens me greatly, she was taken from us far too early

I almost thought it was April 1st again. This news is stunning, she was always so 'there' all the time. I am truly sideswiped by this news. We didn't always see eye to eye but I always respected her.

I hope her family find peace and solace in each other. Both her RL family and her Lit family.

This......is the truth! I had never...until last night; shed a tear for someone I'd never met in person. Actually, it's a very short list, even including those I had met in person.

The greatest pain....I know how those kids ( whom she utterly lived for) must feel right now; and it tears at my emotions.

This truly is sad news. I got to know Kate a bit off the boards. She was intelligent, fun, witty, and exuded sensuality. Her and I had some fun times together, and I enjoyed making her laugh and making her crazy from time to time. She had a big heart, and the ability to love with such depth. It saddens me that she didn't find that true love she was seeking, but hopefully she is in a much better place and has found the peace she truly deserves.

Well, this is terribly sad news. I know Kate will be missed. I miss her already. It is hard for us when the Lord calls his children home when we see them so full of life. Kate didn't let many know she was ill because that isn't how she wanted people to think of her. She was a genuine Sweetheart. My heart goes out to her family and friends.
