Sad news... Mrs. H....

I really didn't know Mrs H but I am saddened by the news of her passing.:( RIP:rose:

Wow, this is.....has just left me speechless.

I offer my deepest sympathies to her family and loved ones, and also those here on Lit that shared a special friendship with her. She was a lovely woman, so beautiful both inside and out. :rose:

Well said! :rose: :rose: I echo what Corbal posted!
Is it just me or does it seem like we are losing more longtime Lit friends now then ever before???

I was privileged to say

WE WERE FRIENDS

We talked via the phone often

On Yahoo chat as well

Last time I talked to her, shoe sounded winded and I asked if she was OK.....

What a stunningly beautiful woman

But an even more stunningly WONDER AND BEAUTIFUL PERSON!

A year or so ago, her son was ill and so greatly appreciated a comforting word

She was so proud of his recent graduation and College acceptance

WHAT A SAD SAD SAD DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

May you rest in PEACE, BEAUTIFUL ONE, MRS H!:rose:

THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!

:(:(:(:(:(:(

I learned of this last night, and I'm still a bit in shock. I figured I would know by now what to say, but I don't. So many wonderful things have already been said about her, and I have a feeling she was even more vibrant than we all know. Heaven has another angel this weekend. Thoughts and prayers to her family and friends. :rose:

I remember she referred to her children often as her H'ettes. This must be a really hard time for them. I am sad for them to.

:rose:

Terrible news. :(

My chats with Mrs H were few and far between, but it's still awful to hear that this has happened.

Condolences to her family. :rose:

Kate (better known as MrsH)

Kate was a very private woman. That privacy remains with those few she shared herself with. Her real self. The poised and confident woman, aloof and sometimes in love is who she presented here. That is such a small slice of her to see but the abilities she had to play, flirt, crush, cajole and support went to one and all. Those of us who knew her as Kate more than MrsH will miss her most but the telling side of this is that there are so many who will miss her and recall how she handled things and looked out for folks.

She provided some places to go here that were fun and simple and not hurtful. That in itself was a true reflection of her. Should she take you under her wing – there were few safer places to be. Should she support you and maybe even show you some of the ropes – well that was just her way.
She once told me that should she ever leave Lit, it would be so brief a time before she was forgotten. I told her that was far from true. At least those of us who had the privilege to learn about Kate (as well as MrsH) will not forget her. These threads and this section of existence will continue and likely only once in a while will someone mention MrsH. However, for those of us she touched, she will remain.

To the H’ettes – who have no reason to see this – I wish you knew how she spoke of you to people you will never meet. The wonders of her life were wrapped in those kids and they are the result of her being who she was. They and not the notes on an electronic bulletin board are her legacy.

Rest now Sweet Kate.

I'm not very good with words, and so many wonderful things have already been said about Mrs.H. So I'll keep it simple.

Kate, you will be missed more than you could have imagined and by many many people. But by none more than your children who were clearly the light of your life.

Rest well my friend...:kiss::rose::heart:

Awfully sad news. Mrs. H spread warmth and love all over this board. Rest in peace.

At a complete loss for words...

A beautiful woman with an even more beautiful mind and soul...I hope you find continued peace and happiness in the next life...

My prayers go out to her family and all her many friends...you will be missed and never forgotten...:(

Rest in Peace, Mrs. H :rose::rose::rose:

I didn't know Mrs. H as well as most on here did, though we did share a few PM's. I am sad to hear she has passed. I will always remember her for her strength and when I hear this song it will remind me of her.......

Another beautiful soul...........resting in peace. :rose:

Rest in Peace Mrs.H. You were a positive voice on these boards and that will be greatly missed. Even though I didnt really know you, you always seemed to enjoy life and the adventure it held for you. You will be missed.

What????? OMG NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For those of you who knew and loved her...

I have just had word that Mrs. H passed away today. She has been in the hospital for a couple weeks now after suffering from some breathing complications and a heart attack. My prayers and thoughts go out to her family for peace and comfort.

My Lovely Friend,

Thank you for reaching out to me a year ago so kindly. Your friendship meant so much to me both in the Lit world and in our real lives. I will miss you tremendously.

I will Love you always,

Newbie

What? OMG. Mrs H was such a beautiful woman inside and outside. I'm so shocked. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. My jaw just hit the floor.

I am saddened by the loss of a wonderful, happy spirit that was always kind and caring - we have all lost a friend. I will remember Kate fondly and often.

:rose:I'm still in shock from reading about Kate's passing away

Without doubt a beautiful and generous person and may the angels take the best care of one of their own now

:rose: RIP :rose:

Our good friend, former Litster and poet extraordinaire, BlackManFux wrote this after hearing of Mrs. H's passing. I think it says it all.

No one like you.
Never was, will never be.
No one like you. Never.
A beauty fleeting, silent and raucous
Smiles brightly hiding,
Drawing all who would come.
Words of wisdom, hidden within wit and charm
Beauty fleeting,
No one like you...
Never was, will never be.
Started a movement predicated upon
Simplicity that none should ever be alone
That there exists for all us traveler
Someone to make this life something that matters.
A beauty fleeting.
No one like you.
Never was, will never be.
A delicate flower, growing bull horn leaves
Attachments gleamings so that all might cleave
Yet, now I find your candle whispering
Your breath lingering.
A beauty fleeting,
No one like you.
Never was, will never be.
Yet, you shall be missed.
In hearts you will remain as a sweet, soft mist
Eyes drip with sorrow
Yes, it has come to this.
A beauty so amazing, a heart big enough
Played tough, yet so soft
It could cast none off.
Yes, yours was a beauty so fleeting.
And no,
There is no one like you.
There never was, nor ever will there be.
And, Kate,
I will miss you...
Tremendously.

I must echo what has already been posted by so many. Mrs H was a fine lady that had only love to share. She made her thread about each other and not herself. This showed the type of person that she truly was. While I only knew her for a brief time, she spoke with me as if we were long lost friends. Thank you Mrs. H. While I am in shock that you have passed, I know that you will steer Lit in your heartfelt way as always. May we always keep a bit of you in our hearts, in the way we treat others and keep us ever mindful that we are people, friends, first and foremost. I can only hope that her family will know the lives she touched without speaking, seeing, or touching us except for our hearts. Such a special touch is a true blessing. Rest in God's garden of roses. :rose:

No clever or fancy words from me I am afraid, just a few simple thoughts.

Our paths crossed a few times on the boards and I have seen many of her posts as I have flitted around reading here and there. She seemed to me to be a lovely lady, with a great sense of humour and beliefs and values she was happy to share. The many lovely posts made before mine just go to show I was just about right. :D

As quite a number of people have said we do seem to have lost a few good people in recent times and I can go back further and add 69forever and Big Salami to the list. Steve (69forever) was another sudden & unexpected loss and was the first Lit friend I had never met but who's death saddened and upset me. We may hide to varying degrees behind our computer screens and our user names but the friendships we forge are real and meaningful.

Just over three years ago I took a huge step and changed my life and I now do my best to live for now, to enjoy and savour everyday and to cherish friends and family wherever they live, however our paths have crossed. I would encourage everyone to do the same!!

My thoughts go to her friends and family, both on and off of Lit :rose::kiss::rose:

RIP Mrs. H ~ You brought such joy, kindness, gentleness to Lit and I know to your family. You are so missed.

I too knew others on Lit that are no longer with us like Big Salami, from Lit and 69forever who I met on Lit, but also he and others from Lit who live/ lived in my area. We got to be friends. Sometimes we'd all meet for lunch or dinner. I'm smiling remembering one. It was at a family type restaraunt and there must have been a dozen of us all at a large round table.

We were all laughing and talking. The manager came up to the table and told us we'd better be nice to the server at our table, as she is new. We all nodding and said "yes." She then said if we didn't behave she take us to the dungeon in the basement to be punished!

I looked at her with my big blue eyes, just slightly large and said. "Is it fully equipt? There was a moment of silence at the table before everyone busted out laughing. :D Some couldn't believe I said that. Others whom knew me better just nodded while shaking their heads.

We then told her we were a group of people who met on the internet....:D

People one meets on the interent, even on Lit can become such dear friends.

Sending prayers and peace to Mrs. H and her family.

Kate was a very kind and wonderful woman. She loved her family dearly and I feel really sorry for their loss. She was very welcoming to me here and I'm glad that to have known her. I'm going to miss her a lot, especially her keeping me company when I couldn't sleep and logged on to Lit, and how she wasn't above being silly from time to time. :). She was a good friend and I loved her.

 Beautiful, J.

Mrs H was a real sweatheart. It's a shock to hear that she's gone. This makes me very sad.
