Wow, this is.....has just left me speechless.
I offer my deepest sympathies to her family and loved ones, and also those here on Lit that shared a special friendship with her. She was a lovely woman, so beautiful both inside and out.![]()
For those of you who knew and loved her...
I have just had word that Mrs. H passed away today. She has been in the hospital for a couple weeks now after suffering from some breathing complications and a heart attack. My prayers and thoughts go out to her family for peace and comfort.
My Lovely Friend,
Thank you for reaching out to me a year ago so kindly. Your friendship meant so much to me both in the Lit world and in our real lives. I will miss you tremendously.

I will Love you always,
Newbie
No clever or fancy words from me I am afraid, just a few simple thoughts.
Our paths crossed a few times on the boards and I have seen many of her posts as I have flitted around reading here and there. She seemed to me to be a lovely lady, with a great sense of humour and beliefs and values she was happy to share. The many lovely posts made before mine just go to show I was just about right.
As quite a number of people have said we do seem to have lost a few good people in recent times and I can go back further and add 69forever and Big Salami to the list. Steve (69forever) was another sudden & unexpected loss and was the first Lit friend I had never met but who's death saddened and upset me. We may hide to varying degrees behind our computer screens and our user names but the friendships we forge are real and meaningful.
Just over three years ago I took a huge step and changed my life and I now do my best to live for now, to enjoy and savour everyday and to cherish friends and family wherever they live, however our paths have crossed. I would encourage everyone to do the same!!
My thoughts go to her friends and family, both on and off of Lit![]()
Our good friend, former Litster and poet extraordinaire, BlackManFux wrote this after hearing of Mrs. H's passing. I think it says it all.
No one like you.
Never was, will never be.
No one like you. Never.
A beauty fleeting, silent and raucous
Smiles brightly hiding,
Drawing all who would come.
Words of wisdom, hidden within wit and charm
Beauty fleeting,
No one like you...
Never was, will never be.
Started a movement predicated upon
Simplicity that none should ever be alone
That there exists for all us traveler
Someone to make this life something that matters.
A beauty fleeting.
No one like you.
Never was, will never be.
A delicate flower, growing bull horn leaves
Attachments gleamings so that all might cleave
Yet, now I find your candle whispering
Your breath lingering.
A beauty fleeting,
No one like you.
Never was, will never be.
Yet, you shall be missed.
In hearts you will remain as a sweet, soft mist
Eyes drip with sorrow
Yes, it has come to this.
A beauty so amazing, a heart big enough
Played tough, yet so soft
It could cast none off.
Yes, yours was a beauty so fleeting.
And no,
There is no one like you.
There never was, nor ever will there be.
And, Kate,
I will miss you...
Tremendously.
