Sarah Palin

You always move the goalposts whenever someone accepts your challenge and proves you wrong.

When I asked about Ferraro, it was in conjunction with thie post:

The Top 50 speeches are pretty good. You can hear Sarah say things like "John McCain has a small package" and "I won my special needs son on eBay" and "John McCain has a hard package and loves drilling hockey moms" and "Barack Obama is especially huge and um harder then George Bush I first exploited my Bush doin the largest fingers now everything fills me I uh I cant wait to tap into Joe Six Pack every traditional position is also um good time awww man there you go again coming on me."

Okay, it's totally childish... but it *is* fun hearing her voice say "my campaign is a torturous nightmare."

As I've been saying all along, there will be mud slung at all the candidates, but there will be much more slung at the Republicans. Have you ever heard of any VP candidate being treated this badly? Did Geraldine Ferraro have to put up with crap like this?

It should have been obvious that the reason I singled out Geraldine Ferraro was that she was the only other female VP nominee. Mud gets slung at everybody, as we all know.

Both Ami and Box want her on that leash... preferably naked and kneeling before them.

Actually... there are probably several others here that would enjoy that.

Personally, I'd be afraid of her teeth.
A ball gag for that one, definitely, hard rubber.

I gave it some thought this afternoon and I think you're right. It's completely unfair. I apologize for mentioning it.

I don't think you need to apologize, John. Like I mentioned in my post, I wasn't criticizing you for simply mentioning it. If CNN or Fox reported on it I wouldn't call it unfair of them forsimply mentioning it. I was mad at those who marketed the product.

As I have been saying all along, there will be more mud slung at Republicans than at Democrats, especially on this forum.

There's a difference between a joke and a personal attack based on lies or innuendo. Really!

Oh wait! That would depend on whether or not you have a sense of humor.

Never mind.

I'll bet you don't recognize the other two people in the photo.

Göran Persson of Sweden and Romano Prodi of Italy. Eurpean statemen of the socialist kind.

So if you choose to call that mudslinging (i call it humor) it's at least equal opportunity mudslinging. :D

Sweet.

:D

On the face of it , a brilliant choice but she better not drop the ball. Makes Biden look very old hat, but we shall see

My, how time flies. I think we have seen. Right now McCain probably wishes he had choosen Joe the Plumber as his vice president candidate. Joe probably knows as much about politics as Sarah. At least he reads a newspaper every day, and remembers what the name of it is.

And he can see Cleveland from his balcony. Unless it's foreclosed.

Yes, I mean Cleveland, not his balcony, by the rate things go :D

It was a JOKE, box. Damn, have we lost our ability to laugh at ourselves? Politics are funny sometimes, and when we can't laugh at the world around us, we lose a part of our humanity. SMILE once in a while, you'd be amazed what it does for your attitude.

BTW, I live in Texas. I have lived under Bush as a governor, and I VOTED for him. Someone close to me worked for him in the state capital. Try not to make assumptions without all the facts.

Going back in my hole until we can be civil and laugh again.

SNL is on the threshhold of being able to make history.

Set Palin up in a press conference skit--but bring in real reporters to ask real questions--on live national TV.

She won't face real reporters, but she'll appear on a comedy show.

That's because real reporters are mean to her and ask hard questions. At least on SNL, she can always say she didn't mean it when she says something breathtakingly vapid.

She can do scripts, but can't improvise.
