Skinny Bitch

I heard on the radio this morning that the smell of donuts is actually an aphrodisiac to men.

Run, ABS, run!

:devil: :D

Aurora Black...oh you are right. I just see healthy eating as just that..being healthy not trying to lose so much weight and starve yourself.

Thanks for the information and well calling me sweet. :rose:

You're welcome, but in the introduction they said flat out that they're not encouraging starvation.

I was curious about what they had to say concerning the meat industry.

And you had the baby last week, didn't you? That's not too soon to be hopping about?

I eat meat all the time, but only venison, fish and game birds. I do not eat farmed meats - mostly because of the unknown chemistry of the meat. Meat on its own will not make you fat.

I can exercise - but I cannot overdo it.
* horseback riding - no galloping or jumping.
* running - short distances.
* stretching - no limit.
* weights - no abdominal work yet.

I asked because I consider my fitness to be a prime issue. There is no reason for the baby weight to become permanent - but it will if I do not begin now getting back into the routine of workout.

'Rora, You're a nut! :)

The excerpt you provided from the book is ... interesting, to say the least. I find it degrading, really. Frankly, I give myself enough negative self-talk; I don't need it reiterated by a couple of complete strangers.

As kbate said, "...nearly everyone knows why they are overweight and simply unwilling to make the effort required to change the bad habits that prevent weight loss." Weight loss isn't for wimps. Anyone who's lost a significant amount of weight will tell you that.

My motto is moderation in all things, including diet and exercise. It's served me well, so far.

As if you didn't already know I'm a nut. :D

I know from my own experience that losing a lot of weight (100+) is no picnic. It was a long, hard uphill climb, but it was fucking worth it (and still is) when you slide into that sexy pair of jeans and feel completely comfortable in your own skin.

I've maintained this new weight (give or take 10 pounds) for 5 years now while eating normally, but I want to see for myself what would happen if I started cutting out meat. Not completely, but some. Same for junk. It's curiosity and experimentation.

Okay, that's what I was concerned about, the abdominal work.

Exactly, and I think it's important to find what works for you.

My downfalls are baked goods; I have a vicious sweet tooth that holds me ransom quite often. I seek to balance that with more healthy choices, like a longer workout or a piece of fruit first, then a cookie. Balance and moderation I tell ya, I'll be preaching that 'till the day I die.

:)

I have a huge weakness for sugar.
