Good Morning Spacelings :)

Hope everyone has had their coffee (or their nightcap depending on where you are). It's shaping up to be a beautiful California day.

Messier (great screen name by the way) - welcome :) We're a friendly bunch here - as for the forums in general, just dive in and enjoy yourself. You'll meet some great folks (and learn to quickly ignore the not-so-great). Hope you have fun!

Starry - I have a good friend who is always sending me podcasts to listen to. He drives a truck for a living, delivering electrical supplies, and so spends most of his working day listening to podcasts. He also has a podcast he is part of (around gaming and geek stuff) which I've listened to a couple of times. There is quite the variety out there!

Paul You find anything odd you think I'd like flip me a link :rose:

back 10 years or so ago when I was on the road I listened to XM radio since that was always a solid feed no matter where I was traveling. These days since my hours are so screwed up due to the surgeries & recovery it's just easier to listen to pod casts. My new favorites are from a couple of comedians. One is Ryan Singer who does "Me & Paranormal You". It's interviews with people a lot like Coast to Coast radio stuff or subjects he researches and talks about. Kinda nerdy but I like it.

The other guy is a comedian friend of his who does Doug Stone's Gravy Boat and it's mainly non-mainstream country music. Nothing you'd hear on commercial radio. So far it's been really cool like listening into a jam session.

"Nerdy and Non-mainstream country music" could be my biography lol. Thanks for the recommendations, I'll check them out!

It's turned out to be a grounded here at home day
& I am bored enough to be looking up 12 mm lugnuts for one of my new family.
The local place wants $12.99 for 4 & I'm like wait, let me go to Amazon.
I got 20 for $14.99 which is what he needed was 20.

My new family here are commercial fishermen & also do boat salvage.
Very old school Florida & he's not really into the tech geek stuff beyond his flip cell & pager.
Now THIS I can help with and do for them easily.

ok, here's my dilemma:

my uncle passed away on Mon. (dad's brother)

the funeral is next Mon. in a small town in n. central KS.

it's a 9+ hr drive for me, by myself, and I just don't think I can handle it.

Am I a sucky nephew?

No, you just have a bad situation.
I didn't get to go to my dad's funeral five years ago because it was on the other side of the country.
I wish I could have been there, believe me.
But it's difficult to just pick up and go like that.
My condolences for your lost Beastie.
