Spacebar 3.0 >.<

Good morning. I'm recovering nicely after a short visit to CJ's. Time always goes too fast. I'm going to go grocery shopping later, go ahead try to hide your jealousy. Lol

:):):)

Being happy is the best thing to be isn't it?:)

Morning everyone.

2nd real PT session. I'm getting set on real hard due to all the work they did. I'm only allowed to do isometrics here at home. Stopped at the VA to visit a friend's dad there and OMG I've never seen such a quagmire before. I'm so glad I was just a visitor.

Happy Monday everyone. :rose:

Good morning all

Just out of curiosity, I looked up a formerly competing thread; no ones posted there since Oct

Caught a podcast that I'm really digging called Dave Stone's Gravy Boat.

Does anyone else listen to pod casts here??

Hi Spacelings!

Whew, that was a crazy and chaotic week I just went through. I am glad to be...back to work LOL. That doesn't happen often, but it does. I had a whole week of personal chaos to work through, while baby-sitting work projects in between. The week went by in the blink of eye!

Starry - I've listened to a couple of podcasts, but I have never really gotten into the habit. It's interesting, but there are so many things that compete for time.

Hope everyone is lined up for a good week.

I hit upon them as a way to pass the time at 2 am waiting for new meds to kick in. The friends I hung out with on here back in the past were from Oz and most are on Facebook now but not Lit.

Sorry you had a weirdly wacko week. Mine was the week before.
Grab some chocolate & relax :rose:

Howdy?

I'm not sure how this works or if I'm in the right spot, but the name caught my attention and the welcome message seemed inviting enough. I've been lurking on lit for a while and figure it's time I dive into the big kid pool by being *gulp* social. I'm not sure what else to say, so yeah....howdy y'all?

welcome!

Just chill out and enjoy. This thread is a little quieter than it used to be, but we're friendly folks.

Good Morning Spacelings :)

Hope everyone has had their coffee (or their nightcap depending on where you are). It's shaping up to be a beautiful California day.

Messier (great screen name by the way) - welcome :) We're a friendly bunch here - as for the forums in general, just dive in and enjoy yourself. You'll meet some great folks (and learn to quickly ignore the not-so-great). Hope you have fun!

Starry - I have a good friend who is always sending me podcasts to listen to. He drives a truck for a living, delivering electrical supplies, and so spends most of his working day listening to podcasts. He also has a podcast he is part of (around gaming and geek stuff) which I've listened to a couple of times. There is quite the variety out there!

Good afternoon all, and thank you Paul. I'm glad you like the name, and assume you get the reference is astronomical objects. Apparently there is a hockey player by the name Messier and I have made enemies of his rivals already lol.

I spend about 2-3 hours a day on the road and listen to a handful of podcasts in between books and music. I usually go for the nerdy math/science podcasts myself. It's a great alternative to the radio which I don't listen to.

back 10 years or so ago when I was on the road I listened to XM radio since that was always a solid feed no matter where I was traveling. These days since my hours are so screwed up due to the surgeries & recovery it's just easier to listen to pod casts. My new favorites are from a couple of comedians. One is Ryan Singer who does "Me & Paranormal You". It's interviews with people a lot like Coast to Coast radio stuff or subjects he researches and talks about. Kinda nerdy but I like it.

The other guy is a comedian friend of his who does Doug Stone's Gravy Boat and it's mainly non-mainstream country music. Nothing you'd hear on commercial radio. So far it's been really cool like listening into a jam session.
