Morning Spacer's how's life today? Summer temps finally arrived here yesterday and it was a hot one late in the afternoon. It'll be the same today, I'm not complaining at all because I'm ready for the warmer weather.

Life is relatively good on my tiny little corner of the planet after a whirlwind couple of months. It's cool and gray here in California today, but it's still, well, California!

I hope everyone is having as good a Monday as they can.

I had PT this morning & they changed up how they are taping my shoulder.
Finally home and resting up some. The first 24 hours are always tiring from the muscle shifts.

Starry, if Copperheads are to close to your house where people are likely to get to close to one or step on them you have three options. Leave them be and know they're going to end up around or in your house. Catch them and take them somewhere else to release. Or kill them. That's why if you have black snakes you leave them alone because they love to eat copperheads and rattlesnakes. The only snake that I ever had chase me was a copperhead.

I had 2 black snake families at the old apartment that lived with me for 26 years. I called them the Sydneys. Never had a worry about copperheads or such here but inland they get all sorts of surprises. They even have scorpions inland over by Disney. I can't imagine finding any of that out gardening.

I have off today & then work for the city tomorrow morning for a couple hours. It's Flag Day so I am taking the extra cases of water left from the Spring events and seeing what we can get rid of then what's left will go into the CERT truck to get them out of my house. I want to put the event tubs back up on the top rack off the floor. The cat has decided they are fun to jump out from around them and scare me at 3 am.

It was a single cup of coffee day today - that's a good thing LOL. It's a sign that I am not quite as wiped out as I have been. Other than that, we're back to our beautiful California weather. It's tough, but we're willing to suffer through it! I'm already looking forward to the coming weekend.

What's doing Spacer's? Warm day here but not looking like its going to be observably hot so that's cool. That means this evenings walk will be much more tolerable which will be nice.
DS, I remember when my days off were mid week days and enjoyed them at that time. I also remember when I worked midnight shifts which were alright for a while and then just began to wear me down.
Starry, volunteerism is a good thing but remember to only do so occasionally.

Howdy space cadets! Another beautiful sunny day here! Just wish the clouds would clear out for good so I can get back on a telescope. But other than that I've had lots of pool, river, and run time in the summer sun and I love it.

<sigh> I think I may just crawl back in bed. I am over this morning.
The cat gak'd on the floor twice. At least I didn't step in it. Think she ate another moth.
No Internet connection at the house from the storm last night.
Turned on the tethering with my android but everything I tried to do hit a wall.
Had 2 companies I had to email because one didn't process my receipts for the rebates correctly. The other won't give me access to my Amazon gift card I had processed almost a month ago.
My "OK Google" part of my phone is suddenly deaf. I can talk and it hears nothing.
At least the trash & recycling guys came even if they didn't empty out everything.

Starry, volunteerism is a good thing but remember to only do so occasionally.

I cut way back. Tomorrow is only about 90 minutes with the city for flag day. I'm handing out programs and getting the extra bottled water out of here.
Got a call from the Marine Dad of a friend who is still at the nursing home around the corner. He's needing some stuff picked up. My team found another rolling walker and a toilet chair they cleaned up and I'm going to take to their social worker to give away to a resident. I'll pick up whatever dad needs. He's getting money and a list together.
