Syria Is Falling, Assad May Be Finished

I just saw a report showing the commander of that terrorist group saying his forces will be standing on the Temple Mount before too long. That implies an even bigger problem for the region.
That statement has the stench of the Israeli propaganda machine at work.

I seriously doubt ANYONE in Syria is publicly saying ANYTHING about ANYTHING other than toppling Assad's government right now.

The "report" you quoted is likely a complete fabrication on the part of the Israeli government, sowing the seeds of mistrust so that the Israeli regime can "justify" future lawless behavior in Syria in the name of "protecting the sovereign nation of Israel".

In the last 24 hours the IDF has completely destroyed the entire Syrian Air Force on the ground and the entire Syrian Navy as well so as not to leave either in the hands of the new terrorists that have toppled Assad.
See post 89 this thread.

Say what you will about Israel, but you can't argue they don't have a contingency prepared for every geopolitical situation that may come about.

That implies that what they're doing now in Gaza is a plan they had on file before Hamas attacked. I hope that's not true!

Blinken weighs in.

The U.S. government would “recognize and fully support” a future Syrian government that results from an inclusive and transparent transition process, Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Tuesday, outlining a first set of principles regarding the Biden administration’s hopes to influence discussions over Syria’s future after the ouster of President Bashar al-Assad.

In a statement, Blinken called for a “Syrian-led and Syrian-owned political transition.” He said that the “process should lead to credible, inclusive and nonsectarian governance that meets international standards of transparency and accountability.”
Were the United States to recognize a future Syrian government — and potentially to lift sanctions that have long crimped the country’s economy — it would be a significant boost to Syria’s leaders. The Biden administration is using that promise as leverage at a moment when Syria’s future is deeply uncertain and in an effort to get Middle Eastern nations to do the same. U.S. officials are mindful that Middle Eastern leaders started reintegrating Assad into the Arab League last year in a step that they thought was ill-advised, in part because Assad didn’t have to make concessions in exchange.
All very innocuous and diplomatic, of course.

I think the troops there are currently safe because everyone's focus is going to on Damascus, they base is on the border (except ops in field and they know what to do) and Israel has just seized another chunk of land for protection and negotiation, but I agree on no commitments and I also believe that world leaders have, in effect, voted and Trump is serving as the President-in-Deem and calling most of the shots.

I do keep that in mind; all but ancient history now. Let the trolls spar over his legacy. I want to progress.

Has anyone here seen the images coming out of Syria the last few days?......
Between the jews and our current crime family in power, they have unleashed total hell on earth in Syria
The phrase....... Be careful what you wish for, as you may very well receive it........... comes to mind.....
Fuck me to tears...........

Well the latest Trump statement is "Syria's not our problem."
Syria was definitely a problem for US interests. Perhaps Trump should say a thank you to Joe for denying Russia a warm water port from which they can intervene in the middle east, and use as a base to service their mercenaries in Africa.

If you insist. ;):D

The incoming regime is al Queda related, Israel is making sure they don't have the hardware to cause any further mischief.

Joe didn't do shit. If there's anyone to thank it's Israel for totally fucking over Hezbollah and destroying Iran's air defense capabilities. Iran is also aware that they are now less than 40 days from all sorts of hellish sanctions being unleashed on them.

No, what the "regular" people don't know or more accurately what the world is lead to believe is Iran doesn’t have nuclear weapons, this is a fatal mistake to believe Iran doesn’t have nuclear weapons......
And the jews didn't wipe out Iran's air defenses...... Iran has for decades been building deep underground facilities to protect their assets...... don't underestimate the Iranian.....

Got to believe that at some point Israel will "seize" every acre of land where Arabic is the spoken language in the name of "national security".

Ummmm, partial. Iran's air defenses are gone, those that were of any meaningful concern anyway.

That being said, yes, they have buried some of their critical military infrastructure, particularly those associated with their nuclear program. That doesn't render them invulnerable, merely problematic. Then there is the issue of delivery. Israel also took out Iran's missile production facilities.

The point is that Iran has been laid bare. They are going to be financially bankrupted beginning on Jan 20th. They have totally withdrawn from Syria, and for good reason. The incoming regime is Sunni and they hate the fucking Persian Shia'.

Syria is in a state of flux and Iran is out of the game for the time being.

If Syrian, Iraqi and Iranians were able to Vote, they’d overwhelmingly vote for Democracy.

They dont want terrorists, fundamentalists, russian or chinese interests dictating their society.

Instead of driving these countries away from democracy and into the arms of the russians and chinese, the USA should be in each of those countries talking and helping, not bombing.

Try some sweet Aleppo pepper on your scrambled eggs some time and tell me I’m wrong.
