The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

We talk. He's frail but his hair is still pretty good. He purrs if it suits him. He doesn't seem to be circling the drain. I check on him several times a day. He's still eating and drinking. I kinda think that I'll go in to check on him and he'll have slipped away in between, kinda like she did one night five years ago.

Meanwhile, TDK just tore through here again . . . .
Sweet geezer.... tdk probably is entertaining for him....or maybe he looks at her with disdain like an old gentleman would

Here you go Lilli…I guess I should have asked how you want to use this first, but this new WiiM pre amp, streamer allows you to put a USB in back so you can catalog your music. They have a couple of Different platforms (I like the Ultra) and will probably ask Santa for that…😄. Everyone is very excited about this thing in the HiFi world. At least all the reviews are pretty good.

Soooo…need a nurses advice…I’ve had a pain under both scapulas for a little over a month. Went to the Ortho doc yesterday and had X-rays. Spine looks good but they now want me to go to a Cardio doc for more X-rays to rule out aneurisms?😮. The PA said back pain can be a side effect of that…Thorasic something or other? First question…how concerned should I be? Second, is this more that I’ve turned into a slug as of late and not getting enough exercise? Don’t want to be buzzard bait yet!

On that nice note…some MZ…

I would ask that lillianna weigh in to. I would schedule with cardio for a check in. once they rule out bone stuff need to get to the bottom of it.. was it thoracic aortic aneurysm that he was concerned about? Heart symptoms can be very vague and fleeting. Are you doing any new exercise? Does it hurt with movement or if you change position? Heart history? high blood pressure? Family history? Do you take a daily aspirin?

Thanks for the advice. I’m already working with my bank on the debit card issue. I don’t use credit cards, just a personal choice. It’s not worth lawyering up for two outdated monitors. Of course there is an appeals process, and there are other contributing factors that may relieve me from liability, but having been an investigating officer for similar losses in other organizations on the installation there could be a good chance I’m found liable. I signed for the property, and I didn’t take appropriate measures to protect it. I could have told my boss to pound sand, either he signs for the monitors (which was supposed to happen but never did) or I being the back to my office where I can control access. Of course I’m trying to be a team player and I caught it in the ass - again. After 40 and a half years working for the Army as a Soldier and civilian this isn’t the first time the big green weenie has screwed me. The irony is that the Army has failed multiple audits and has lost accountability of billions of dollars of equipment but they will hold my nuts over the fire for $400 worth of equipment. I truly appreciate everyone’s support and advice. I’ve played this game before and I was caught up in the anger of the moment. The past two weeks have been successive kicks in my crotch and it gets tiring. Thank’s everyone.
We need to get you a cup til the nut crunchers find a new victim.....

Yes! Thoracic aortic aneurysm is what he said. I did have an EKG in Sept and it was normal. No new exercises. Yes to hurts with movement. Mainly flipping over in bed and getting up in the morning. It catches and is painful…but, once I make the flip, it goes away and I can rest. Doesn’t seem to bother me during the day, but I can move and sort of feel a dull ache, but not the sharp pain when on my side in bed.

No HBP, have done a couple of stress tests and the Nuke x-ray thing for my heart. All good, but there is family history….No to the daily aspirin but I do take Zinc and other vitamins…

I work for the Army, and yes they can force me to pay up to, and including, wage garnishments or taking it out of any Federal tax refund I may be eligible for. The rules that apply to private sector employers don’t apply to the Federal sector.
Yeah man. I remember that shit from when I was in. I hope you’re able to document everything and that they find someone else at fault.

This does not sound like you were to blame.

I don’t remember how everything worked in the army in terms of who might be at fault, but you’re a diligent hard worker, so I know that you will be fine.

Sounds like maybe tendinitis.

I am not a doctor, but I play one on TV. (And I DID stay at a Holiday Inn express last night).

Will kegals help? I’m a guy. But I did some damage riding my bike. The urologist sent me to physical therapy where they walked me through 3 types of kegal exorcises. I still go to sleep around 10 but often don’t wake up until after the sun is up.
Very annoying exorcises to me. It took a lot of perseverance to keep it up. I didn’t see or feel results for 10 or 12 weeks. Now I really like the results and try to fit them in daily. I wasn’t feeling old, but oh to feel young again! Who knew.
Thanks for the advice. I will ask my urologist.

To me it sounds musculoskeletal, like a strained muscle. I would still go to the cardiac doctor because if something happens we don't want to miss anything. That you have a cardiologist that did an EKG in September is very good. I would let them check it out and then consider massage or chiropractor if you believe in them, or maybe even physical therapy if it is that bad

Heated mask sounds very interesting. Is there a brand?
The one I got was from Dr. Prepare
The one my eye doctor recommended was infused with lavender, which causes allergic reactions for me. This one has none of that nonsense - unless you put it on the mask yourself.
I got mine in early 2021 for $24.99. Their site has it for $1 more right now. (Just cost of the mask - shipping may be extra)
