The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Hey guys. Just wanted to share with you, that my mother passed away yesterday afternoon.

The last 1.5 days for her were trying and painful, but she was in hospice and getting morphine and an anti anxiety med, so that helped. I was with her at the end…

Anyway - just wanted to let you all know too. No arrangements, just a few memorials. Thanks all for your understanding, love and support, good vibes, prayers, and well wishes.

It meant a lot to me and Mrs Wonderer. (I couldn’t exactly tell my sisters and daughter that the literotica crew were thinking of us… 😂)

❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏
Sorry your going thru this. My condolences to you and yours. Glad she was being taken care of at the end.

Just wanted to thank all of you guys for your well wishes.

This has been a journey, that’s for sure. And I’m glad (more relived) that this phase is over.

I was on the phone with Mom as I was reading through and catching up. I have nothing to add to the emotional support offered to you by all us Spoonie People. At least we're not sporks. You remind me to be more patient with my mother than I feel like being. You remind me to slow down just a bit with her. You remind me not to lose my temper over things that I think should be apparent to her but aren't any more.

Truth is, you lot help me to be a bit better person. That is a task in itself.

Your lunchtime buddy send his bestest to you and your family at this time of transition. Wat will burn the josh.

Has anyone ever read the epitaph by merrit Malloy

I have now, and I agree.

Epitaph by Merrit Malloy

When I die
Give what’s left of me away
To children
And old men that wait to die.

And if you need to cry,
Cry for your brother
Walking the street beside you.
And when you need me,
Put your arms
Around anyone
And give them
What you need to give to me.

I want to leave you something,
Something better
Than words
Or sounds.

Look for me
In the people I’ve known
Or loved,
And if you cannot give me away,
At least let me live on in your eyes
And not your mind.

You can love me most
By letting
Hands touch hands,
By letting bodies touch bodies,
And by letting go
Of children
That need to be free.

Love doesn’t die,
People do.
So, when all that’s left of me
Is love,

Give me away.

Got water pressure. I can fend off the EPA now.

Interview was as good as could be hoped for. I drive down there Friday to meet them.

We have donated our bodies to a medical college
I'm looking into this option as well.

Loving all the entries! 😍
And still, a part of me says, "keep it simple and plausible". May I suggest the simple "tummy bug"... for reasons

My GF and I watched the movie Complete Unknown. It was an excellent movie about an icon in music. His music is still relevant!
I've heard nothing but positive feedback from folk that have seen this flick.
I kinda like the UTI. I shall have to stay put and guzzle cranberry juice.
Unrelated personal note - I was doing just that one weekend about 10-12 years ago. Mentioned to a friend that I didn't think I could drink another drop.
Their response:
You know there's cranberry capsules, right?
My brothers and sisters of the Spoon 🤯🤯🤯
I've been taking capsules ever since - never had a recurrence of the issue.
Impaction... i.e. you're full of shit....
Had this happen to a coworker @ 20 years ago. I don't work with them anymore. Statute of Limitations has passed, so the Cone of Silence is lifted - -

Coworker spent hours in the ER thinking she was having a heart attack. Until the scan results came in.

Diagnosis: Impacted colon :poop:
She was full and needed a laxative.
Then came into work the next morning and told anyone who would listen all about it. Like it was a surprising travesty that had occurred.

Mind you, this was a woman who self-professed:
I don't eat fruit... or vegetables... or any foods that are red. Except for Red Velvet Cake :ROFLMAO:
Explained SO much!!
