The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

My mom took heres in a late 40 early 50 something packard....
The test was to go up this super steep hill.without stalling the car.... she was the only one in the group that could do it. She had been driving allis chalmer tractors since she was 8.... and the grain truck for just as long. the rest of the kids were city kids that had no idea

Those things accumulate at Wat's house.

They climb hills because those engines make bottom end torque almost like steam engines.

Meeting scorecard.

8-9 finished in 36 mins. Win
9-930 needed in 22 mins Win
930-10 needed 15 mins Win
10-11 needed all time but was a productive meeting. Moral win?
11-12 went 13 mins over and I was not even needed on the fucking meeting Loss

My 3-345 meeting was moved to January. Win.

This leaves me with a couple of additional and hopefully short meetings.

So 4-1-1 for the day so far.

You still missed the playoffs.

What is padel?
Imagine a smaller tennis court with glass back walls and the glass also extending four metres down the side, where it joins a wire fence along the rest of the side walls either side of the doors.
You can hit the ball off the glass if you need to, but not off the fence.
Padel is massively popular in Spain. This is a big tournament in the middle of Valladolid city square, with the court surrounded by thousands of fans.
We had the big wave of pickleball over the last five years; now padel is booming all over the world.
Type "crazy padel rallies" into YouTube and you'll see what an amazing sport it is, with players running out of the court to hit the ball back in!

Busy day, too far back to catch up on the fastest moving thread in the history of Lit.

It was 18f this morning but I went for three! Only came up to 19f by the time I got to the park. Four of us die hards and two dog walkers. Had the place to myself practically!

Hope all had a wonderful weekend. Christmas cards today. Yes, I still do them. Stay warm amigos!

Does shovelling and salting a long sidewalk a littke at a time because the cup was too small and i could only carry the 50 lb bag of salt from the garage to the porch one time count? And then walked all over walmart to help my mom get groceries count

OK so this just happenedโ€ฆ

Writing out the Christmas cards and putting people (mostly family) on the naughty and nice list (who gets a card this year or not) and we get a call from the DiLโ€ฆwants to know if weโ€™re cooking the Roast Beast for Christmas supper.

It seems his Highness (our oldest) wants his mother to make a Roast with figs and cloves, and pears and very Christamssy dish. SWMBO is waffling and trying to hit the easy button when I pipe up and say, why donโ€™t we spilt the baby and all do different things for this? Both gals are sorta kinda trying to get outta of this when I addโ€ฆโ€Momma used to do it ALLโ€ฆโ€

Nothing like shaming your spouse by comparing her to your motherโ€ฆ๐Ÿ™‚

Well, the roast is going to be cooked. Stay tuned for other marriage tips for the holidays. ๐Ÿ˜˜.

Whem my nephew was a baby...he LOVED the geinch so i started calling meat roast beast and he would eat it

He went to freezer camp not long after we got him
I am always amazed at how aggresive they get. I remember when one woke up my Old English Sheep Dog. He was snoozing on the drive way ant the rooster came clucking up beside the garage. The dog spun his wheels on the drive way and chase the rooster back to his owners house. He wanted some chicken. It was funny to watch.
