I think he has really worked to drop the Boston accent and become more of a general American accent for broader appeal.

See @jason28053 ? Their normal accents are much more neutral.

Donnie Whalberg is more natural, I think he’s actually from Boston as opposed to Cambridge or the suburbs.

Understood it fine (but then I would ). What I would say is a) he’s definitely milking it a bit, in spite of what he says, and b) he needs to lighten up (again, ironic, given what he’s saying about others)
