Been watching the Artemis II launch all week, checking in every night, last night i really liked one of the questions:
If you could go back and give your 10 yr old self advice, what would you tell yourself?

Anyone care to weigh in?


My answer; the world tells you that you need to be successful… but figure out who you are fist, then decide what you want to do… P.S. pursue massage therapy then go in the navy…

I'd warn myself that a person whom you thought you could trust would betray you in the most unimaginable way but that the people who truly love you will be by your side to help you heal.

I missed a lot of the nerdy talk, but will have to go back to look because like @Dayhoosier , I love learning what others are passionate about. Mine are:

Languages
Education
Learning new things
Excel & organizing data in general
Budgeting

Hmm, I don’t have any real hobbies in there… I need to find a new one to nerd about!

I think the best advice that therapists over the years have given me is: just because you think it, doesn’t make it true & you can do hard things. I doubt I would have listened or understood what those both meant for me as a 10 year old, but I could try!

Don't listen to the "you can't take tests" and "college isn't in your future". And then tell about NDT and go Air Force.

Though everything has worked out good the way it went.

Keep doing the things people tell you you CAN'T do. It works out in the end.

But you would have heard it.... Like I wouldn't have taken my advice to the ten year old ne....I was ten! But I would have heard it.... I remember all the other stuff said to me. I would like to have remembered that you know?

I like that:

I actually try to teach my 7 & 9 year old that concept now! They dont listen… but if i say it enough, when they finally leave… maybe it will be in their head when they need it.
