•kemp (Georgia govn) seems quite intent on the trial not happening before the election, down to directly telling people 'it's not going to happen before the election':

and a state senator (colton moore) is attempting to impeach DA Willis in yet more desperation:

so what are the legalities involved here in interfering with the work of the Justice Department?
Unfortunately...those that need to learn this lesson...won't

They declined to comment to reporters on their way in.
Other defendants have agreed to bond packages with prosecutors.
Under the terms of the order, Eastman "shall report to pre-trial supervision every 30 days," and "shall perform no act to intimidate any person known to him or her to be a codefendant or witness in this case or to otherwise obstruct the administration of justice."
The order also holds that Eastman "shall not communicate in any way, directly or indirectly, about the facts of this case with any person known to him to be a codefendant" or witness "in this case except through his or her counsel."
$200,000 for Trump, plus a much more stringent gag order on what he can say about others connected with the case, including what he can post on social media and what he can repost from others there.$100,000 bail for john eastman; also

It isn't his money he's going to use.Pocket change. He spends that much on McBerders.
I’m sure that Trump wanted the biggest bail ever. They cut him down to size with that amount.Pocket change. He spends that much on McBerders.

And probably with no real consequences, too. (I'm not entirely unsympathetic - imagine the logistics of secret service protection in a jail - but still.)Who wants to bet on how quickly that order will be violated?

Putting Trump in jail pending trial actually makes Secret Service protection simpler. Stick him in a cell by himself. Pay one agent to sit outside all day to protect him.•
I give zero fucks about “the logistics of secret service protection in jail”. If the corrupt orange traitor flouts the judge’s order, then I expect equal treatment under the law.
I worked in a secure facility, and it could easily be managed impo
I would imagine the secret service would be far more stressed by endless travel logistics and securing various locations.
Just sayin’
He could use the diet. Make him walk a bit every day. He'll live another 50 years according to his medical exams.Putting Trump in jail pending trial actually makes Secret Service protection simpler. Stick him in a cell by himself. Pay one agent to sit outside all day to protect him.
In addition, there were 30 other unindicted co-conspirators, who were unnamed in the document but whose identities have likely been uncovered by reporters at the Daily Beast: people like Bernie Kerik, Phil Waldron, Tim Fitton, and Boris Epshteyn. Truly, a stunning array of the biggest scumbags in America.
But there is one name that eagle-eyed observers who have closely followed this story will note is missing: Mike Lindell, the comically self-important maniac who founded the second-rate linens company MyPillow.
Kanye West's old publicist, Trevian Kutti, got to be listed as part of what the charges describe as Trump's "criminal enterprise," but poor old Mikey boy didn't rate a mention in the 98-page document. Same story with the hefty indictments filed against Trump in federal court by special prosecutor Jack Smith. Reporters quickly figured out who the six unnamed co-conspirators in the 2020 election interference and Capitol riot indictment were, but the MyPillow founder was not one of them. I guess Mike Lindell just wasn't important enough to the Big Lie conspiracy to rate a mention, much less a pile of indictments of his own. It certainly wasn't for lack of trying on his part.
“I served with Mark Meadows. I know Mark Meadows,” Jolly told MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace on Monday. “And I believe today that Mark Meadows has sung like a canary already.”
Jolly said Meadows isn’t “somebody who wants to go to prison for Donald Trump.”

"Defendants should not have to watch the news or search for press stories to try to track down all legal papers in this case," he complained.
"We are hopeful that this Court will quickly issue that very type of notification to the Georgia state court," the filing added, "which will clearly bring a halt to all proceedings there, including any attempt by District Attorney Fani Willis to threaten or effectuate arrests under unilateral state judicial and ancillary executive power."
