The Georgia Indictments Thread

If you bother your arse to read what I said before venting you’ll see I already agree with you - I literally said they seem to have him “by the balls”.
I know it is hard for you...read what you wrote. If you don't understand what you wrote...let me point you to the phrase "opposed to a technical breach". It was not a technical breach he is charged with. He took them on purpose...he refused to give them back. THAT is what the case is about..Maybe you should go back to the outside? Cause you sure as fuck ain't handling it in here.

jesus, you really are going out on a limb here you dumb fuck.

I said Trump had been caught on tape - committing the crime. As opposed to a breach of the same law on a technicality - where an ex Pres’ entirely accidentally has unknown possession of a secret doc’ that has been misfiled.

Fucking idiot. Learn some comprehension before shouting your fat mouth off.

by the time junior gets his ged, his mother will be dead and his father in prison. thoughts and prayers.

MY point is don’t accuse one side of inappropriate behavior while participating in inappropriate behavior themselves.
You saying you're going to dox someone doesn't make your point.

The guy who's accused of doing it here was a bit above your pay grade and reached far more people than you.

and now police are having to track down threats and protect the grand jury because some cunt leaked their names and details onto social media, that is if they are the real names and addresses. if they are, it's really really bad for the people who did their civic duties; if they're not, and are actually 'stings' then law enforcement might just trap a bunch of deplorables intent on inflicting damage while distracting them from the real people. I'm guessing law enforcement's too busy, though, to do this and the legalities involved are an unknown quantity to me

The purported names and addresses of members of the grand jury that indicted Donald Trump and 18 of his co-defendants this week have been circulating on social media, as we reported earlier.

A statement from the local sheriff’s office said:

As the lead agency, our investigators are working closely with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies to track down the origin of threats in Fulton County and other jurisdictions.

in the earlier report it mentions the names but no other details were in the indictment document (i feel they should have been retracted for protective purposes); people on a far right site known for violent rhetoric have taken the names and posted phots and addresses, though some of the photos are not of the right people (endangering even more people) and 'some addresses appear to be wrong'.

Makes no sense. Trump wanted to be indicted in Georgia. Trump’s support grows because of the grand jury. Trump has been begging for it for months.

it's all about mob-mentality intimidation as far as i can tell

Exclusive: Trump lawyer John Eastman will move to SEVER his case from 18 other defendants including Trump and Rudy Giuliani to avoid being 'tarred' by people with 'weaker' defenses

And he is eager to distance himself from the others in legal jeopardy as quickly as possible, believing he can be acquitted in a trial that would take just a few weeks.
'The people with stronger defenses don’t want to be tarred by the problems with the people with the weaker defenses,' Eastman's lawyer Harvey Silvergate told DailyMail.com.

'The former mayor of New York is in a very different position than John Eastman,' he added. 'It may be that the former mayor of New York and Trump and a couple others will be tried together,' he predicted.

:ROFLMAO: :catroar: 😇

yup, eastman doesn't want to be 'tarred' by the likes of giuliani or trump with their 'weaker defenses'. If he's confident his trial can be worked out in a few weeks, this canary might be ready to sing sing sing to save his own ugly, deplorable neck. He's only going to get a deal if he has something they can't (or haven't) already sourced.

Trump cancels news conference to release report on 2020 election

Former U.S. President Donald Trump said on Thursday he had canceled a press conference scheduled for next week to release a report into the 2020 election in Georgia, saying his attorneys would put his arguments in court filings instead.

Two weeks. We'll see it in two weeks. It will be the biggest, most beautiful report anyone has ever seen.

The MAGAt party reached a state of Herd Gullibility long ago, it matters not whether he's convicted, whether he confesses or whether he's committed.

Seems that more MAGA violence will now be a matter of when, not if.

Not sure if it'll happen in the thick of the election race next year, at the polls, or afterwards if Biden/a Dem wins. Not sure if it'll be citizen-on-citizen violence, harming political leaders, or both. But it's coming - at which point, Deplorables will take yet another hit to their forever-tarnished reputation.

he's having to read words, big scary words off a screen... it's a traumatic experience as he grapples to understand what he's saying or how to say it
not in the least surprised and glad we get to see what the DOJ must already know

glad we get to see the evidence of what the DOJ must also be well aware of

A lawyer for former Justice Department official Jeffrey Clark has filed a motion opposing the trial schedule proposed by the Fulton County district attorney following Clark's indictment Monday on charges of participating in efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election in Georgia.

Clark's motion makes him the first defendant to push back on that timeline.

In the objection, filed on Thursday, Clark's attorney urged the judge deny the DA's scheduling motion for a number of reasons, including that it was "highly premature."

"The indictment was filed at approximately 10:30 PM on Monday August 14, 2023, while the Motion was filed at 12:49 PM on August 16, 2023," the objection said. "To our knowledge, not one of the 19 defendants named in the indictment has been served with any warrant, taken into custody, had a first appearance, or been arraigned, or waived arraignment."

kemp (Georgia govn) seems quite intent on the trial not happening before the election, down to directly telling people 'it's not going to happen before the election':

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/poli...p&cvid=bf32d298913a4f6aed4ababe9291c645&ei=13
“We have to be focused on the future – not something that happened three years ago," Kemp said. "We don’t need to be focusing on stupid things that aren’t going to happen before this election. We can deal with that later, after we win. We have to tell people what we are for – and then we have to have a candidate that can win the election. Because if we don’t win, we don’t get to govern."
and a state senator (colton moore) is attempting to impeach DA Willis in yet more desperation:
Moore announced his intentions on social media, declaring the need for an emergency session to evaluate Willis’ actions. In his statement, Moore voiced concerns about the purported political targeting of opponents by radical left prosecutors and emphasized his commitment to preventing such actions.

so what are the legalities involved here in interfering with the work of the Justice Department?
