44 days, but Spring seems to be getting further away, not closer. This morning here in the mid atlantic, we have a lovely glaze of frozen rain on the trees, the grass. And of course on the roads. I'd hate to be an insurance agent the next few days around here.....

43 days til Spring, but today the Winter Olympics start, a gathering of the people of the world, all collecting together to be cold.
Actually I used to like the Olympics, thinking it was nice that everyone was all getting together in a spirit of peace and competition. Then I got old, crabby and cynical.

I'm looking for any sign of spring I can find. I noticed I can now see traces of lingering sunlight when I leave work at 6 PM. Up until now, it's been pitch black dark.
