The Let's Help Each other Get Healthier Thread!!!

Did well for the week!

So, just finished my last exercise round for this week (30 minutes of conditioning + 20 to 40 minutes of walking per day, 6 days a week), and I'm feeling really great. Endorphin rush from exercise is definitely the 2nd best thing to a Session in my book. Also did well on my eating. Starting tonight at the movie theatre is my "anything" 24 hours, too. Hotdog (blame that one on Shank and his "Sneak-a-Peak" thread, LOL) and some ice cream later... :D :D :D Neon

P.S., Can I borrow your new motto, Netzach?

Go for it! And good for you!

I just stepped on the scale. Not into hum play that much so suffice it to say I don't like the #.

i'm finally feeling better, and back to eating well. Today was supposed to be my anything 24 hours, but i pushed that back till tomorrow, because of being sick on Thursday. (It may get pushed back further if i am still nauseated after every meal. )

i'm beginning to consider that this nausea/vomiting may not only be from the medication i was taking. It may also be from stress. i've dealt with some things this week from outside sources that have really wrecked me emotionally, and i think physically is catching up. (Ever just want to get up on a platform and scream FUCK OFF....LEAVE ME ALONE?!?!?) UGH...so yeah...think i need to work on my stress levels a bit...and deal with this shit that's bothering me effectively instead of internalizing it. (This is "family" stuff...nothing to do with LC, just so you all know. Wouldn't want anyone to assume something. :cathappy: )

{{{{{{ HUGS }}}}}

And good to hear you're back on track! :rose: Neon

I was being bad today. I totally forgot to eat, and now I'm all shakey and ug. I just ate a cheese sandwich, hopefully that'll help.

Apparently my gym closes at 5 on Saturdays and Sundays, not 9.

Not so good for me, who showed up at 6. *sigh*

ETA: It's probably just as well, my back's still a little twingy today, but I did want to work out. Kind of irritating when you push yourself to go and then don't get to.

went to a party yesturday with A. impossible to stay all healthy the entire day/night.

50 sit ups penalty.

baked cookies today. lots and lots of cookies. baked to bring into work tommorrow, baked for A, baked for my little nieghbor who is deathly allergic to nuts and rarely gets baked goods, baked for my cousin who was over and helped a little. lots of cookies there was no way i was baking four batches fo mouthwatering good smelling from scratch chocolate chip cookies without having a few.

50 push ups penalty.

arg!

So when you've really been stuffing your face and you stop, sometimes the numbers go down fast.

Fruit salad and leftover chicken marsala for dinner, walk around the lake. GREAT birdwatching too, we saw a bittern, goldfinches, a great blue heron and a closeup of a mourning dove.

:nana: :D :nana:

Sounds like a beautiful day! My best friend (since age 11) has a place in upstate NY with his partner. Sometimes, just sometimes, descriptions like this make me wish I wasn't such a City grrl...

I actually just stuffed it all today. I went out with a friend and had half an appetizer and a chicken quesadilla with guacamole, sour cream, etc. And about half his fries.

Then I only had a bun for dinner though. I'm not hungry even now.

I really enjoyed myself. My friend drove me around his town and showed me ALL sorts of things - we were trying not to spend money. He's a cab driver and knows all sorts of facts about his hometown too.

It was really interesting.

It's fun how sometimes a good day with a friend can make you feel - content. :)

ETA: if any of you have a panini grill, this morning my dad made me a sandwich - turkey breast and light cheddar cheese on a panini bun, sprayed with Becel butter stuff and griilled. It was awesome. Even a George Foreman type grill would work, I think. It gets all thin and melty. He used a thin chunk rather than a slice so that it would spread to the edges but not past.

This IS the city - that's the coolest part.

But I wouldn't leave SF either.

You know, I adore San Francisco, but if I had the money, I'd move to NYC in a heartbeat! (Have friends and family there.)

So, did my exercise - even though I didn't start the conditioning until 8pm because I stayed late at work and I kept to the diet today

Y'all are keeping me honest. :D

(psssst... I think that I just lost another couple of pounds. shhhhh....)

Way to go, neon and everyone!

For me, 27 of 28 days. Still just missed the one day. Amazin'!

I lost another pound! :nana: Considering how badly I've been NOT eating I was surprised.

Neon - don't make me get out the whip (oh yes please make me because I shall enjoy every lash...hehe)...

Congrats to the progress everyone has made - kudos on the hard work. It isn't easy being healthy - it is much easier being the complete opposite these days.

Thank you, Kierae! Putting in the tape now!
Goddess forbid that I get a good flogging! :cathappy:

And big congrats on getting to your last 5!

WOO HOO! :nana: :nana: :nana:

(Hmmmm... then again, flogging? Despite my Toppiness these days... well, um, perhaps as a reward for both of us?!?!)

i fell at camp and slammed both my knees hard into the concrete... putting a hold on my excersizing for the next few days while i am swollen and wearing an ace bandage on one knee and scaped up and red on the other knee.
