My very limited understanding and never had the pleasure of the lifestyle, is swingers generally gather in groups. Is it forbidden to ask the largest number of people you've been with during a swingers event? Not how many partners, just the group size

In a private party setting it was 5 couples in attendance including us.

If you are asking about a specific night out with myself and Steve and how many did we let join us, then 7 is the answer. If you are referring to that incredible trip to Japan where a client offered me the chance to watch and then join in a Bukkake party, then I have no idea but it was plenty!

So, my question to everyone is...that first encounter....where sexual tension fills the air and that moment where teasing and flirting gives way to the first physical contact with others....who made the first move to break that tension and did that cause a natural ripple effect for all to participate or was it a much slower process for everyone to become fully engaged? Was your first experience a one-on-one while being watched by your spouse, a threesome, foursome or something other?

For us, (my husband and I) we knew what kind of party we were being invited to. As I described in an earlier post, our Host and Hostess went over "the rules" with everyone (there were 3 married couples present) and then we broke into groups. There was no "first move" in the living in front of everyone. We just all quietly smiled, paired off and went to separate rooms.

The second round was very different since it was considered the Reclaiming Round where we had to pair up with our spouse. There was light touching and gentle "so how was it for you" getting to know each other again energy but again, very restrained.

Now the third round was when all the inhibitions were out the window. Everyone was basically only wearing towels. The guys had their wrapped around their waists and the women had theirs wrapped around their bods. There was A LOT of touching and mutually familiarity going on then!

I imagine it's different every time and in every situation though. I know whenever my husband and I have gotten together with another woman, sometimes he makes the first "move" on her and sometimes I have. The best though is when she makes the first move on either one of us.

Personally I love those first few awkward, exploring mutual boundaries moments. They're so sexy because they're so completely unpredictable!
